Our Get Up and Go! grants can support anything that encourages some physical activity - from litter-picking and gardening to exercises classes and sport.

Our new Walking Netball session continues at The Clanfield Centre this Wednesday 25th June, 10am!

These Walking Netball sessions are a version of netball designed to suit everyone, regardless of age or level of fitness. If you'd like to improve your fitness and mobility while still enjoying a friendly, social environment then this is a great place to start.

Are you at risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes? The NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme is here to help. Book on to a session on July 18th at the Alton Assembly Rooms to learn how you can reduce the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.

Sessions take place on the same day and time each week and will cover a range of different topics. This will include healthy eating, physical exercise and long‑term behaviour change classes, to help you build a healthier lifestyle.

Most people can view their Health Record on the NHS app and this facility can unlock free NHS support and afford patients the chance to self-register for some useful services: https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/

The Healthier You NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme, also known as the Healthier You programme, identifies people at risk of developing type 2 diabetes and refers them onto a nine-month, evidence-based lifestyle change programme.

A GP referral is needed to access the course in one of the following ways:

If you have had a blood test (in the last 12 months), you can use your NHS App/reading to register: https://preventing-diabetes.co.uk/referral/
If you have a Gestational diabetes history, regardless of how long ago - you can self-refer: https://preventing-diabetes.co.uk/gestational-diabetes/
