A little introduction…
I’ve lots of new faces in classes lately so I thought I’d say a quick hello.
I’m Natalie 👋🏻 I’m 47 and I’ve been teaching fitness since 2010. I’ve taught everything fitness wise : boxing, spinning, weight lifting, aerobics…you name it - I’ve probably taught it. (Except Zumba or dance -if I can’t fight my way through it - I probably can’t do it 😬)
I’ve been exercising since I was a teenager. I realised as quite a young person that when I was exercising - everything just felt so much better.
Im also pretty strong and tall. I always felt out of place I guess. Everyone else just seemed so much smaller and I felt very awkward - until I was in the gym and realised my body could do things other people couldn’t. I’d found a space that celebrated my body rather than wanting to shrink me.
I no longer teach fitness full time and during the day I work in a local secondary school as a librarian. A job I love which is as varied as the children I spend time with each day. I’m also a historian - specialising in women’s history.
When I first joined classes all those years ago - it was clear they are often no different then the school playground. Full of insecurities, unkindness and judgment. I have worked hard over the last 15 years to ensure my classes are not like this. I truly hope everyone feels welcome.
I now teach online, in Trowbridge and in Shoscombe.
It feels amazing to still be teaching after all these years and I’ve taught many of you for over a decade. It’s been wonderful to have shared these years with you.
Thank you for being on the journey with me.
Natalie 💕
