Behind every smile is a human dealing with something.
When I think about my mental well-being and how itâs been affected over the years. I feel very grateful to be here today and to say I got through it.
There have been many times Iâve wanted to give up, to call it a day and during those times nobody had had a clue.
Someone asked me recently on a podcast what has been the most difficult thing to overcome and I said immediately âMy mumâ. Those scars have haunted me my entire life and itâs also the reason I first attempted su***de. The pain was too much to bare.
Itâs also the reason Iâve just written a short ebook called âIs Your Mother Narcissistic?â because in understanding some of this, the effects it can have and things we can do to heal, itâs helped me with my mental well-being. Itâs not advertised yet but if you want it just comment âEBOOKâ below. I also have a podcast on âmother woundsâ just comment âpodcastâ for that.
If youâre struggling and wearing a smile on your face, please have compassion for yourself â€ïž and know that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
And remember just because someone else is smiling it doesnât mean everything is ok.
Be kind always.
You never know what silent battle someone is dealing withâŁïž
