Massive congratulations to the team behind Lifeways Community Care (Exeter) for retaining their overall ‘Good’ rating from the CQC 👏

Day 22 – At the very start of the year, we heard from Lifeways’ founder about how proud he was that the social care company he started with his wife reached its 30th anniversary.

Jerry and Susan Bereika launched the company after spotting a gap in the market for a pioneering new model called Supported Living.

Their vision was to help people move from institutions and large residential care homes into independent living with the right support around them. That ethos has guided Lifeways’ growth ever since. 💪

As part of our hugely successful 30 Wishes campaign, we helped one gentleman see his favourite football team – Manchester United – play at Old Trafford, another enjoy a trip to Beamish Museum, and even a relaxing break at a luxury hotel. 🏨

A Worcestershire walk and talk group run by the local Lifeways team brings together people from supported living services across the county, creating a relaxed and welcoming space to connect, get active and enjoy the local community.

With plans to grow the group and introduce new wellbeing activities in the year ahead, this simple idea is already making a powerful difference 💚
