Delicious food for a luxury care home setting requires a balance of appetite appeal, elegance and comforting familiarity.
The goal is to evoke warm memories while maintaining a tone of refinement and care suitable for older adults in a premium environment.

From our first Garden club meeting in the bistro to our current progress for Trust in Bloom 🪻🌹🥀🌷🌼
Growing seeds, making scarecrows, creating our forget-me-not wind chimes, keeping busy watering the plants and hanging basket making!!! It's been busy.
First round of judging is complete after being visited by our lovely judges last week. They also enjoyed a little afternoon tea with some of the residents using the veg that we had grown in the garden!! 🪻🌹🥀🌷🌼

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Residents enjoyed a trip to Dorchester Abbey this week for a Moving Music Concert. This is a lovely place to visit.
First we enjoyed a lovely music concert, with some of our favourite songs, followed by a look around the Abbey.
Then we enjoyed a lovely Picnic prepared by our lovely kitchen staff. What a beautiful morning out!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌼🥀🌹🪻🌷We welcomed Steve back again for another of his monthly flower arranging workshops, and this one was very busy, he's getting to be a very popular man!!
He not only just brings us flowers to arrange, he gives us lots of knowledge and conversation on how best to look after our flowers, and it just brings everyone together in such a lovely way!! 🌼🥀🌹🪻🌷

☀️☀️☀️ This week we have been making the most of the warm weather and our fantastic gardens by enjoying delicious BBQ lunches and lovely salad selections.
Residents also enjoyed pizza making with friends, but most of all we have enjoyed being a family. 🥰🥰

Recently we have expanded our exercise sessions we offer with a new style of exercise called Adaptive Fitness with James.
This is slightly different to the exercise sessions we run on a weds, and it was lovely to see so many residents come along to give it a try. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

So ... Last week we had our latest event night which was a Greek Evening.

🥰🥰We just wanted to share a lovely picture which shows just the importance of music in our setting.
This was the first time these two lovely ladies met, during one of our singing sessions with Doug, and how touching that when they both knew and liked the song, they took each others hands to wave them to the music and sing along together.

So after many visits to us this year, we got to take a few residents over to see the children from Acorns Nursery in their setting. It was lovely for the residents, who were fascinated with the buildings and seeing the children play in their own environment. They also remembered back to their own school days and those of their children.
On the way back we even had time to pop into the garden centre before lunch!!What a lovely morning we had!! 😃🌼🌸🌺
