So on Thursday I had surgery it was planned. I came home the same day armed with paracetamol and Ibuprofen for the pain (plus extra strength ones if needed!)

The pain is harsh, last time I stayed in for 5 days and had morphine! I take my hat off to those in chronic permanent pain, I know mine will get better.

But it’s the brain fog that is annoying me more. POCD it’s called and explains a lot of why I’m feeling the way I am.

You are at risk of getting POCD if you’re over 60 ✅ and had adominal surgery ✅ (with complications!)

No wonder I’ve been signed off for 4 weeks

As a control freak I have to learn that are somethings that I can’t control 🤷🏼‍♀️ even as child I wanted to control my wild curly hair. I now love it 😍
