Cardiac Rehab Month!

February came and went quickly! We had a fun week of wearing something red and celebrated how far we have come in our heart journey!

Winner of the best dressed went to Martin who looked like something from the walking wounded - utilising a red resistant band! Well done and a Bounceback T-shirt winging its way to Martin!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Sussex Heart Charity today at our Annual Sponsored Walk. It’s always humbling to see so many people walking with purpose—to help improve the lives of people living with heart conditions in Sussex.

This year, we saw record numbers take part and we’re well on our way to smashing previous fundraising targets. Thank you to everyone who walked, donated, volunteered or cheered us on.

Some of you asked about learning some signs and this fun programme on telly looks ideal!

Many people lose their hearing as they age and feel isolated in social gathering. Hopefully you and your family can pick up some signs to practice with each other and of course, with me in class!

What a great week we all had - most classes had a gathering and nearly everyone wore something red! Always wonderful for everyone to chat amongst themselves and share various stories and discussions!

Always remember to congratulate yourselves for your own incredible cardiac rehab journey thus far- especially to those who are still attending Bounceback Cardiac Rehab classes for more than 10 years!

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🩹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟭𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 💝💘

Every year we celebrate our amazing rehab journey! Many of you have told me how much you benefit from the classes that I run and also, many of you have said that you are now fitter than you were before the heart event! Never too late eh?! All brilliant stuff 💓

We all know the benefits of cardiac rehab and meeting people in similar situations is immensely valuable.

To celebrate the Cardiac Rehab week, we will wear something red and have an extra special gathering after the classes. Everyone who attends will get a free raffle tix to win Love Sleekster by Hotel Chocolat! What's not to love!

𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰! 🎄🥳🙌

Each class had a party or an outing (Falmer and Haywards Heath St Francis had both!) It is always wonderful to see everyone enjoy each other's company and share their journeys and common interests. See each photo for class location.

2024 went in a flash but there have been some changes! I have consolidated Bounceback to focus on Sussex only. This means better and improved service for patients with better delivery outcomes. The Uckfield class moved to a new venue offering bigger and brighter space and one of the Haywards Heath classes (Monday evening) will be relocating to Ansty on Monday 6th January for the same reasons.

My resolution for 2025 is improved social media presence, website, and offerings for patients - watch this space!

Many thanks to all who attend my classes and to the cardiology teams at PRH, RSC, Eastbourne, Tunbridge Wells, Crawley & East Surrey for referring patients to Bounceback.

Great night out with Bouncebackers at Hollywood Bowl Brighton!

The evening (Mon and Wed) and Saturday classes united for a fun night at the marina! There were 21 of us whom were divided into teams of 5/6. Afterwards, most of us went on to the pub for one for the road!.

Good to see that the person who got the b***y prize last year for Crazy golf came 2nd in the 10 pin bowling! That's a great progress - well done to Graham! This year's b***y prize goes to Martin!

Saturday morning at Falmer - last class / gathering on Saturday 14th Dec / Resuming 11th Jan

This year has certainly gone very quickly! Nevertheless, we will make time to celebrate one way or the other!

Chris from one of the Haywards Heath classes knows how to dress for the occasion! Very spiffy!

We are doing a raffle as well and the prizes are enticing! Each person gets a free raffle tix each time they attend a class during December!
