The Newark Dragon Boat Festival is back tomorrow at Newark Riverside Park from 10.00am and we can’t wait! 🐲🛶

Expect a fun-filled day of dragon boat racing, live entertainment, inflatables, fairground games, children’s activities, and delicious local food and drink.

We are delighted to announce that the Nottingham Piscatorial Society (NPS) has raised £1,000 for Beaumond House through its annual Presidents Challenge fishing competition.

A total of £445 was raised through the event, which the NPS Committee then generously matched and rounded up to £1,000.

Sending our thanks and good luck wishes to Louise & Melissa who are running the 2026 London Marathon in memory of their Dad, to fundraise for Beaumond House.

"We are running the London Marathon in memory of our Dad, Richard Price. He died when we were very young children and at the time Beaumond House supported him and our family. They have had a special place in our hearts since then and we want to be able to do this as a thank you to the hospice too"

Anyone who visits the Newark Skipton branch over the next four weeks, will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite charity from three options.

The charity with the most votes will receive a cash donation of £1,000, followed by £600 for the runner up and a final £400 for the remaining good cause. Voting will close on Friday 3 October 2025 at 4.30pm.

A huge well done to Simon and his children Elodie and Sebby, who completed the Great North Run in memory of their Dad/Grandad, Brian, who was cared for here at Beaumond House.

Not only did Simon achieve a personal best time of 1:38, he’s also raised over £2,000 to support our hospice💙
