The Major Trauma Centre are sad to say goodbye to Dr Angela Gall who is retiring from her post as Rehabilitation Medicine Consultant. She has been such a fantastic consultant to work with and for our patients. The MTC wish you all the best for your retirement!

MTC Team based in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

Ok folks here is a long post...

3.5 weeks ago on Saturday 3rd May Farmer Bill went out on his bike with our son Marshall. He was in the woods for under 4 mins when he fell off and sustained a serious head injury despite having a helmet on. Marshall had to dial 999 and his amazing ability to be clear on the phone meant that an ambulance got there quickly followed by the air ambulance. Louisa and I got there before the ambulance to the horrific scene. He was taken to Aberdeen hospital and put in an induced coma and we were told to prepare for the worst outcome. Fast forward to today he has left ARI and been transferred to the Neuro Rehab Unit in Aberdeen where he is making amazing progress, although we still have a long way to go.

This is a photo of Bill this morning with some of the amazing team at ARI that have helped him the last few weeks and literally saved his life. We will forever be grateful to you all.

We have so many people to thank but a big shout out to the team at Byres Farm who have kept things going as our world crumbled. Everyone who has sent lovely messages and gifts. All our customers who have continued to support our business- thank you so much.

So sorry we have been missing in action, but this is why.
