BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM 🥕

What is the immune system?
The immune system is made up of special cells, proteins, tissues and organs. It defends you and your body against germs and microorganisms is every single day ✨

How can I boost my immune system? 🧐

🔸Get plenty of sleep and rest (8-10 hrs)
🔸 Eat a balanced diet (up your veggies, garlic and dark berries intake)
🔸Keep it quiet ( noise pollution can increase your stress hormone cortisol which can have an impact on your immune system)
🔸Get moving (30 minutes a day to elevate your heart rate)
🔸Drink plenty of water (8 + glasses daily)
🔸Laughter is the best medicine (laughter lowers stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection fighting antibodies)
🔸Give up smoking, or at least try cutting down ( your body sees all of these chemicals as foreign bodies and every time you smoke it tries to attack them)
🔸Increase sunlight ( at least 10-15mins exposure a day)

😊 The video is suitable for both Beginner and Medium Fitness levels. If you're a beginner you should undertake 15 seconds of exercise followed by 39 seconds of rest.

F L E X I B I L I T Y 🤸‍♀️ stretching, in its most basic form is an instinctive and natural activity - for animals as well as humans, often upon waking up or after long periods of inactivity 🦍

The good thing about stretching is that you don’t have to spend hours a day to feel the benefits ⏰ .

Before reaching for your phone as soon as you wake up, try the following routine most of which can be done in bed. 🛌 🌅

🔺Bring both knees to your chest and rock side to side 10 times.

🔺 Drop both knees to left side, extend arms out wide and look over opposite shoulder and hold for 30 seconds. Repeat on opposite side.

🔺Sit on the the edge of bed; place left hand down by your side and extend right arm up and over your head and hold for 10 seconds. Repeat on other side.

🔺Roll both shoulders forward in a circular motion and repeat backwards. Try 10 of each

🔺Standing up inhale bring your arms up and over your head to meet and exhale your arms back down by your side. Repeat 3 times.

R O P E S 💪 While they might look intimidating, the battle ropes are a simple workout tool that everyone can use. You'll train nearly all of your muscles during this exercise.

Exercises you can try with battle ropes:

🔸 Alternating arms
🔸 Double arms
🔸 Both ropes side to side
🔸Jumping lunge with double arms

Aim to do 10 secs to start and build it up to 30 secs.

With over six years experience within the Health and Fitness Industry Laura has gained extensive knowledge on how to take care of your overall health and wellbeing. Holistic Fitness looks at each clients lifestyle; physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual factors into consideration before designing a bespoke fitness programme which goes beyond the exercise that you get at a gym.

During Laura’s time living in Sydney she had the opportunity to work for two of the biggest gym chains within the industry (Fitness First and Anytime Fitness) and along side some of the best personal trainers in the business. Australians have a completely different outlook on healthy living and are way ahead of the game, it was infectious and inspired Laura to start up her own business on her return back to the UK.
