Sheffield Sports & Exercise Medicine Society Find information about the Sheffield Sports Medicine Society and our events here! We also keep you up-to-date with national SEM events, so you don't miss out!

This society is focused on keeping our members up to date with one of the newest and most exciting medical specialities- sports medicine. We will keep you updated about upcoming conferences and opportunities to get involved in the speciality. We host interesting lectures throughout the year from established sports medicine practitioners to allow learning on topics that aren’t covered in our medical degree, but are vital to sports medicine. We acknowledge that multi-disciplinary teams are vital in sports medicine, and therefore all students with an interest in sports and exercise medicine are more than welcome to join and get involved in this society (i.e not just medical students)

In addition, we are advocates of healthy living and getting the country moving. We are keen to support any initiatives aimed at getting people in Sheffield/Yorkshire more active and promote to all that exercise is medicine! Drop us a message on Facebook or email sportsmedicinesoc@sheffield.ac.uk if you have any queries or want to get involved. We are always keen for new members.
