Through Newman Sport Psychology, Han provides support to anyone who is looking to improve their mindset in relation to sport and/or physical activity. This ranges from those who would describe themselves as inactive and looking to increase their physical activity, through to those involved in competitive sport. Support available includes:

- One-to-one sport and/or exercise psychology support
- Gym mindset workshops

What does my Fit for Life Community actually include and involve?

Let’s focus in on one aspect - the monthly live learning sessions.

This is where once per month I break down one exercise focused health and fitness topic from a psychology perspective.

For example:

How should I measure success and progress with exercise?

How can I build my confidence in the gym (or other expertise spaces?

What does a healthy relationship with exercise look like?

How do I stop being all or nothing with exercise?

I break down the relevant psychological points and principles to help you answer questions like these.

But crucially, I do it with a focus on how you, as individuals, no matter your circumstances, can apply and implement those principles to YOUR individual exercise journey and circumstances.

No one size fits all approach. But instead - key principles that you can use to make decisions and implement changes that work for YOU.

We do this on a live call once per month - I present, and then give space for questions and discussion.

And there’s a recording you can catch up on for a little while afterwards in case you can’t make the date!

Then in the private Facebook group, there’s space for you to discuss how you’re getting on with it, ask any questions you may have or raise any challenges you may be facing.

So if you’re feeling overwhelmed when it comes to exercise.

Lost in what you should or shouldn’t be doing.

Struggling to break down all the information and perspectives being thrown at you.

Let me do all the breaking down for you and deliver a digestible framework for each topic that you can take and apply to yourself.

My role is to help you gain clarity. To organise your own thoughts. To make sense of your own experiences and To help YOU to decide what change YOU want to make and how.

Which is why in my community, every live learning session is designed with individual implementation in mind.

Key health and fitness topics, delivered from a psychological perspective, with a focus on how you can apply and implement the principles specifically to YOU and YOUR own unique journey with activity and exercise.

Change for YOU, identified and implemented by YOU.

With me and the rest of the community there to support.

Now don’t get me wrong, exercise prescription CAN be great…

Individualised plans help to remove the guess work, fill in knowledge gaps, and remove the decision fatigue that can come with trying to design your own plan or deciding what to do when you enter a gym or other exercise facility.

BUT… what about if you don’t know how to get the plan done? What if you don’t know how to actually make it happen? What if you’ve been given exercise plans before but not been able to make them stick?

Or taking it back a further step… what if you don’t even know what kind of plan you want or need? Or you don’t know what role you want exercise to play in your life? You just know you’re not happy with where you’re at.

As a sport and exercise psychologist (in training) - that’s where I come in!

My role is (largely) in the spaces either side of that plan existing - in supporting you to identify what change you’d like to make and why…

But also in supporting you to build the skills, tools and strategies you need to EXECUTE the plan. To make it a part of your life…

Not just something that you do for a few weeks and then get overwhelmed and can’t keep it up - leaving you back at square one.

So if you’re someone who often finds themselves frustrated because you haven’t been able to stick to the plan you either made for yourself or has been made for you…

And you’re feeling like you might NEVER actually be able to make it stick…

Exercise psychology support could be the missing piece of the puzzle.
