Recently studied a course for growth mindset on positive psychology and now I’m a positive psychology coach.

The course was super interesting and I feel there needs to be more positive coaches especially when it comes to working through emotions & mental health. Being certified now allows me to work through any emotions in positively and the same for my NDIS clients, as we all have the same emotions but process them differently. The Course also helped me to understand on a deeper level the support style I hold and how I can better assist with optimism & motivation and certain behaviours.

I’ve often noticed the same questions being asked when meeting new potential participants. “What do you like, don’t like”, how are you etc. and in the eyes of these participants it must be absolutely boring to be asked the same questions over and over and over again.

Here are some amazing conversation starters to help with this issue should you ever find yourself freezing when communicating.

Another fantasic inclusive opportunity and NDIS friendly! Some of my regular participants attend, free coffee and tea and sometimes biscuits, great opportunity for support workers to connect and an outdoor adventure opportunity to enjoy. They do the pontoon or sailing, with wheelchair hosts and life jackets.

Sailability costs $15 every Monday between 10.00-1.00

I’m looking for someone to share my home. I’m pretty laid back and easy to get along with and looking for another person who is the same. Someone who has NDIS funding of some sort so some support can be shared. We would share the rent and utilities and also the cost of food if you like. I live in a beautiful 3 bedroom townhouse in Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Walking distance from the beach. Home is fully furnished except the bedroom that you would have. Beautiful polished wooden floors upstairs and tiled floors downstairs. We have really great neighbors as well. Rent is $440 per week but that is split between us. We would also split the phone and electricity bill as well. Please PM if you are looking for a great place to live. The person would need to have their NDIS funding either plan managed or self managed as we use unregistered providers to be able to negotiate rates of pay to offer true choices
