Menopause - When you haven't had a period for 12 consecutive months.
Perimenopause - When menopausal symptoms start due to hormone levels declining. Periods may still be regular, but you start to see changes.
51 - average age of menopause in the UK.
Before 45 - Early menopause.
Before 40 - Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI).
