🍽✨ Team time = best time! ✨🍽

Recently, our team enjoyed a lovely team dinner together. It’s not just about sharing a meal — it’s about celebrating our hard work, supporting each other, and remembering that the heart of our clinic is the people behind it. 💛

Strong teams make stronger care, and we’re so grateful for every member of ours — on and off the treatment table! 🤍

💥 Shockwave Therapy at 16 Glentworth Street 💥

Did you know that shockwave therapy isn’t just for plantar fasciitis or tendon issues? We also use it to treat hip pain, especially when it’s linked to tightness, tendinopathy, or long-term strain.

This non-invasive treatment uses acoustic waves to stimulate healing, increase blood flow, and break down scar tissue — helping you move more freely and recover faster.

At 16 Glentworth Street, we tailor each session to your specific needs — whether it’s hip pain, chronic tendon irritation, or stubborn muscle tightness.

✨ Healing from the inside out, one pulse at a time.

✨ Behind the scenes at our clinic ✨

Our founder Maria and team member Elaine trying out the PelviPower chairs — because we believe in experiencing the same treatments we recommend to our patients! 💪

PelviPower uses biofeedback and magnetic field training to strengthen the pelvic floor in a comfortable, non-invasive way — perfect for recovery, performance, and confidence from the inside out 🌸

🌬 Good bladder habits — Tip 5: Don’t push or strain to wee!

If you find yourself forcing urine out, it’s a sign your pelvic floor isn’t relaxing properly. Pushing increases pressure on your bladder and pelvic floor muscles, which can actually make things worse over time — especially if you already struggle with leakage, urgency, or pelvic pain.

✅ Instead, take a moment to relax before you start weeing.
• Sit comfortably, feet flat on the floor
• Rest your belly and shoulders
• Gently exhale as you release — never push!

Think of it like letting go, not forcing it out. Your bladder works best when it’s calm and coordinated, not under pressure. 💛

⚡ Behind the scenes at 16 Glentworth Street! ⚡

Here’s a sneak peek of one of our physios using shockwave therapy — a fantastic tool for helping patients recover from stubborn muscle, tendon, or fascia injuries. 💪

At our clinic, it’s not just about treatment — it’s about combining expertise, evidence-based tools, and hands-on care to help you move, recover, and feel your best. ✨

Seeing results like this reminds us why we love what we do! 🤍

🚻 Good bladder habits — Tip 4: Don’t hover over the toilet!

We’ve all done it in public toilets 😅 — but hovering keeps your pelvic floor tense and stops your bladder from emptying fully. When the muscles don’t relax properly, you might end up with dribbles, urgency, or that annoying feeling that you still need to wee after you’ve just gone.

✅ Instead, sit fully on the toilet seat, relax your belly, rest your feet flat on the floor (or a small stool if needed), and take a gentle breath out as you wee. This helps your pelvic floor and bladder work together, not against each other.

Your bladder will thank you for it! 💛

✨ Art that celebrates the feminine. ✨

We’ve recently adorned our clinic walls with a series of paintings inspired by the fluidity, strength, and softness of womanhood. Each piece reflects the essence of what we support every day — the beauty and power within the pelvic space, and the many layers of the female experience.

Because healing is not just physical — it’s also emotional, creative, and deeply human. 💗

🚽 Good bladder habits — Tip 3: Don’t do your pelvic floor exercises on the toilet!

It’s a common myth that you should “stop your wee mid-flow” to strengthen your pelvic floor — but this actually confuses your bladder and pelvic floor muscles. ❌

Your pelvic floor needs to learn when to relax (to let you wee) and when to contract (for support). Doing exercises while urinating can disrupt this coordination and, over time, lead to tension or incomplete bladder emptying.

✅ Instead, practice your pelvic floor exercises when you’re not on the toilet — like sitting at your desk, brushing your teeth, or waiting at a red light. Consistency matters more than location!

🌬✨ Practising what we preach! ✨🌬

Some of our team took part in a guided breathwork workshop this week — a chance to slow down, reset, and reconnect with our own bodies. 💛

As osteopaths and physios, we spend so much time encouraging patients to breathe better, move mindfully, and prioritise self-care… it’s important that we do the same!

These moments remind us that healing and wellbeing aren’t just things we teach — they’re things we live. 🌿

Here’s to holding space for our patients and ourselves 🤍
