Culm Well-being Reflexology and Acupressure Facial Therapy in Cullompton, and surrounding areas. The therapy helps to restore balance and encourages the body to heal itself.

Reflexology is an complementary therapy which applies pressure and massage techniques to reflex points in the feet or hands, each corresponding to organs and structures of the body. There are so many benefits to Reflexology, it can reduce stress and induce deep relaxation, improve circulation, revitalise energy levels, eliminate toxins and improve sleeping patterns. Above all it encourages self healing and a sense of emotional and physical well being. The practice never ceases to amaze and fascinate me.

Now the school holidays are over, and we are back to business as usual, I thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself for the benefit of my new social media followers. 👋

I’m Mel, and I’ve been working as a Reflexologist for the past 7 years, balancing it alongside my part-time job. I have my own treatment space in Cullompton, Devon. I also provide mobile appointments in the local area as alternative if you are unable to travel, or would simply prefer to stay at home.

I offer treatments in foot, and hand reflexology, as well as acupressure facial therapy — or a combination of your choice. Whether you’re new to reflexology or a returning client, I also provide taster sessions, and block bookings discounts .

Appointments are available on Monday and Wednesday daytimes, and Monday and Tuesday evenings. I know life can be busy though, so I try to be as flexible as possible and add in extra appointments where I can to suit you.

When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me outdoors — I love exercise, long walks and big views; ideally with a coffee and cake stop along the way! 🏞️

So, If you’re looking to unwind, restore balance, or simply take a moment for yourself, I’d love to hear from you. For more info on my treatments and prices etc, please visit my website. Link in the bio ⬆️ 👣 💆🏻‍♀️

I can’t share this enough…❤️

I’M A BIG FAN OF WOMEN

I’m a big fan of women who snort when they laugh.
Women who overshare awkward truths when the conversation stalls.
I’m a big believer in singing loudly in the car whenever possible and I love pulling alongside a fellow diva doing the same.
I’m a big fan of women who love women,
who spot loo roll on the shoes and help each other out,
when Mother Nature calls.
I’m a huge believer in comparison being the thief of joy,
that dimming someone else’s light, won’t ever make yours shine brighter.
I just can’t get enough of those women who are unashamedly themselves, in technicolour glory.
I’m a lover of laughter and those moments when the tears start to flow, give me life.
I think the best therapy, is quality time with a friend who listens without judgement.
I’m a big fan of women who break, who share,
who rebuild each other and cheer them along the way.
I’m grateful for this world half-full of fabulous females,
I see you all.

Reflexology for better sleep 😴 💤

It’s Better Sleep Awareness Month. Sleep is vital for physical and mental health and well-being. The NHS recommends 8 hours of sleep a night, but in reality the average adult only gets around 6.5 hrs.

Sufficient sleep helps support healthy Immune function, improves mood, reduces stress, keeps your heart healthy, improves concentration, increases energy levels, improves memory and also aids in Weight control.

So how can Reflexology help promote sleep?
Research has shown that Reflexology has a positive effect on brainwaves, encouraging sleepiness and the transition into a increased period of non-rapid eve movement and therefore, a deeper sleep.

Reflexology relaxes the body and mind and restores the natural flow of energy. By stimulating certain reflex points on the feet, the parasympathetic nervous system activates a ‘rest and digest’ state, promoting healing and regeneration and a deep sense of inner calm.

The healing power of touch also eases anxiety, alleviates tension and soothes any physical pain, which is known to hinder sleep.

Physiological markers such as heart rate, blood pressure and breathing rates, are lowered, and levels of cortisol (the stress hormone) are reduced during and following treatments. As the body returns to balance, sleep patterns noticeably improve.

With over 7000 nerve endings in each foot, corresponding to all organs and systems, it’s no wonder Reflexology does wonders for the emotional and physical health of the body. 💗

In need of a little self-care? 🧘‍♀️

I have the following availability in May for Reflexology, or Acupressure Facial Therapy:

Monday 12th May - 6:15pm
Wednesday 14th May - 1:30pm

ACUPRESSURE FACIAL THERAPY: 🌿
Incorporating a light scalp, neck and shoulder massage, Acupressure Facial Therapy treats the unique structure of the face using acupressure points to ease stress and tension, leaving you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. It also boosts collagen production and works on the lymphatics in the face and neck.

REFLEXOLOGY: 👣
Reflexology is non-invasive, deeply relaxing and is suitable for all ages. It works by stimulating specific reflex points on the feet. The treatment focuses on the body as a whole, restoring balance and harmony, improving physical and emotional health, and encouraging a deeper sense of well-being.
