Please check out our stories as I update you on the project!!

As our Coffee, Chill & Spill peer support sessions come to an end, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the space we’ve created together — one of honesty, understanding, and connection. These sessions have offered a chance to pause, share, and simply be, without judgment. Whether you came every week or just once, your presence made a difference. While this chapter is closing I hope the conversations, connections, and calm moments you found with us continue to support you in the days ahead. Thank you for being part of it of CC&S peer support and please keep using the resources over the next 4 months ❤️

What a gorgeous morning we've had in Woodbank Park 💚 15 mums and dads joined us for our Walk and Talk to have a really good natter, share experiences, ask for advice and empower one another 🤗
As always, we appreciate all the team at Vernon cafe for being the best hosts, we love having the cafe space to warm up with after our walks, especially on soggy days like today 🩷

Join us next week when Ayesha, our Tameside facilitator, will be running a family session in Alexandra Park, Oldham. Keep your eyes peeled for more info and we hope to see you there!

Welcome

My name is Vik and I have created coffee, chill and spill as a resource for new mums to reach out to. After the birth of my second baby, I experienced severe anxiety; I found myself in a place I never thought I would be in and it was really scary and at times lonely. I really wanted to create a sense of community for new mums; A safe place to talk, or just to sit and have a little bit of focus on them. We have so many wonderful baby groups in the area (Stockport), but there is very little in the way of support for mums. We go through such a massive transition having a baby, and the main focus is on prenatal and birth care. However, recovery from birth and getting to grips with being a mummy were way harder than pregnancy for me. I have created this page, a closed Facebook group and also a Maternal well being group at Heaton Norris Community centre, that will run weekly. It will be open to mums who are feeling a little lost, isolated or just overwhelmed. A mother’s wellbeing is just as important as the baby’s wellbeing and I wanted to provide somewhere that supports that. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Vik x
