Anyone who knows me knows I love to find the joy (or at the very least humour 😁) in pretty much everything – it’s kind of my default setting ✨

​But what I’ve learned is that you can’t really “seek” joy, it’s something that’s always there, waiting patiently and we’re either (unconsciously) blocking the flow of it, or we’re not. When we’re in pain or caught up in stress we understandably really struggle to notice the little joys 😅 but the secret isn’t to ignore the discomfort, it’s to lean into it.

​The real magic happens when we slow it down, we give ourselves permission to process, to breathe. At first it can feel like we’re stepping back from life, but actually it’s the opposite – we’re creating the space we need to feel whole again. Space is where healing begins 🤗

​I took 18 months of space from social media whilst navigating some life stuff and it was great. And now I have capacity to welcome it in again and that’s the beautiful thing: the quicker we honour that part of us that needs stillness and recovery without questioning it, the quicker we find our way back to the things that truly light us up 😍

​That’s the intention in this treatment space. You come in, slow down and meet yourself again. Allowing that ni**le in your shoulder, that tightness in the neck or that feeling of overwhelm to truly dissipate so you can get back out there in your life allowing alllll the joy in again 🙌🥰 that’s my wish for you ✨

I had a little wobble the other day 💭 and when I reflected on it, I realised I’d let one of my anchors slip… my journalling 💌

​Do you journal? I only started a couple of years ago, a friend bought me a beautiful journal during my divorce and it was so so helpful to connect to myself. Journalling each day grounds me, helps me process, and supports me in showing up as my best self 😌 when I’m consistent, I definitely feel the difference 💫

​It’s the same with our bodies. A one-off massage feels amazing, but true transformation happens with consistency. Regular treatments help to

​✨ Create space for emotional release and clarity

✨ Back when I was working as a social worker, I found massage out of desperation — I was burnt out, tense, and carrying far too much. What I didn’t realise at the time was that it wouldn’t just help me cope… it would save me 🍃

​​Massage gave me a place to breathe, to soften, to come back to myself 💫 It was the anchor that kept me moving forward whilst I decided what was next. I couldn’t have guessed that what was next was becoming a therapist myself! I followed my intuition, having no clue whether I’d enjoy the giving as much as the receiving and oh wow when I realised I did 🤗

​Heard the word sorry a few times in here this week…sorry for needing the loo before your appointment, sorry for letting out some tears when you feel sad, sorry for snoring when your body just allows itself to finally rest 😌

Our minds can run a thousand stories a minute but how often are we taking a pause, a beat, a breath to just slow down and drop back into our bodies? 😌

​This is your little nudge to slow down…take a deep breath…let your shoulders soften…listen to what your body is whispering to you. What do you need in this moment? Is it movement, stillness, is it softening, or strength? If you ask, you will always get an answer ✨
