Enjoy a bright Royal Christmas and 1,000 years of royal history Royal Collection Trust’s Windsor Castle this festive season.

This winter the State Apartments are decorated for Christmas, which includes a magnificent centrepiece - the tree in St George's Hall, taken from Windsor Great Park, is dressed with hundreds of twinkling lights and ornaments.

For history buffs, the Christmas display celebrates the 675th anniversary of the Order of the Garter, the oldest order of chivalry in Britain, which was founded at the Castle in 1348.

With seasonal festivities in full swing, head to the London Transport Museum where Santa is landing his sleigh in the twinkling winter wonderland to meet families until 23 December.

Board the Routemaster-inspired sleigh to flash the headlights, ring the bell and set the Christmas cheer-o-meter!

Families can also enjoy cosying up for Christmas stories in the den, getting creative with holiday crafts, and weaving through the galleries following a story trail.

All festive family activities are included for free with your tickets - and kids go free!
