As we prepare for world breastfeeding week starting tomorrow, here's 5 good reasons to think about breastfeeding your baby. Breastmilk is a living product and is unique to you and your baby. By supporting a breastfeeding parent returning to work an employer benefits as much as the employee. Continued breastfeeding when returning to work can mean that babies have less illnesses and so parents need less time off work to care for them. Breastfeeding also allows the strong relationship between mum and baby to continue so she feels more prepared and ready to be back at work. Picking up on early feeding cues means everyone is calmer and feeding is more enjoyable for both mum and baby. Waiting until baby cries means its a little too late and feeding can become a challenge. Dont wait, its too late!
