🐼 Did You Know? It’s National Panda Day! 🐼

Today, March 16th, is National Panda Day — a day to celebrate these gentle giants and raise awareness about their conservation.

Pandas are known for their calm and peaceful nature, which can remind us of the importance of slowing down and finding moments of peace in our own lives.

👉 Pandas spend most of their day eating bamboo — around 12–16 hours a day!
👉 Despite their size, pandas are great climbers and swimmers.
👉 There are only about 1,800 giant pandas left in the wild, making conservation efforts more important than ever.

Taking a moment to appreciate pandas can be a gentle reminder to care for yourself too. Like pandas, we all need rest, nourishment, and a bit of calm to thrive.

Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) is a complex and often misunderstood mental health condition. It develops as a response to severe trauma, usually in early childhood, and involves two or more distinct identities or personality states. These identities may have their own names, memories, and ways of interacting with the world.

💡 DID is a coping mechanism, not a choice. It is a way the mind protects itself from overwhelming trauma.

💬 What can we do to support those with DID?
✅ Educate ourselves and others—DID is real and valid.
✅ Listen without judgment—people with DID deserve to be heard and believed.
✅ Respect different identities—each part of the system has a role and a purpose.
✅ Encourage professional support—therapy can be life-changing for those with DID.
