So many women describe a kind of anxiety that feels airy and unsettled, not sharp, not fiery, just… untethered.

A busy mind.
A restless body.
A sense of being pulled in different directions at once.

It’s easy to think, “This is just anxiety; something must be wrong with me.”

But in Ayurveda, experiences like these often point to a rise in Vata, the energy of air and space.

Vata is the part of us that’s imaginative, intuitive and full of movement and when it becomes unbalanced, that same movement can feel overwhelming.

It might show up as a racing mind, difficulty sleeping, feeling scattered, struggling to finish things, or simply feeling ungrounded in your own body.

This isn’t a personal flaw and it isn’t a failure to cope.
It’s your system asking for grounding, warmth and steadiness.

Ayurveda shows us how to bring Vata back into balance in simple, supportive ways, through warm, nourishing meals, gentler movement, slower breath, regular routines and rituals that help the body feel safe and anchored again.

As Vata calms, the mind quietens, the body softens and the sense of overwhelm begins to ease. What felt like “anxiety” becomes something far more manageable, a shift back into yourself.

You’re not broken or too anxious, you may simply be out of balance and balance is something we can gently rebuild together.

If this feels familiar, I’m here to support you. Please tap the link in the bio to book a treatment.

Many women describe a particular kind of overwhelm, a sense of urgency in the body, a sharpness in the mind or a feeling that everything is happening just a little too fast.

It can look like stress and it can feel like anxiety.
But in Ayurveda, this experience often has another layer: an increase in Pitta, the fire within us that usually helps us stay focused, purposeful and clear.

When that inner fire burns a little too strongly, it can create heat in the body, tension behind the eyes, a quick temper, a restless mind or the sense that you’re carrying more than you can comfortably hold.

Ayurveda guides us towards cooling, soothing, steadying practices when Pitta rises, things that help the body release heat and the mind soften.

💫 A slower pace.
💫 More ease.
💫 More breath.
💫 More space around the edges of your day.

Ayurvedic massage can be especially supportive here. The cooling oils, the slow, grounding pressure, the invitation to let the intensity melt away, all of it helps to settle the fire and bring the whole body back to a more comfortable, manageable temperature.

💫 When Pitta is soothed, life feels less sharp.
💫 There’s more patience.
💫 More clarity without the push.
💫 More room to breathe and respond rather than react.

If you recognise yourself in this, you’re not “too fiery.” You’re simply ready for a softer kind of support and you don’t have to navigate that shift alone.

I’m here whenever you need a calmer moment to return to yourself. Please tap the link in the bio to book or send me a DM.

Feeling stuck… or could it be Kapha?

So many women tell me they feel heavy, sluggish or unmotivated, as if they’re wading through the day rather than moving with it.

It’s a feeling that can easily be mistaken for low mood or a lack of drive.
But in Ayurveda, this sense of “stuckness” is often a sign that Kapha, our earth and water energy, has become a little too dominant.

Kapha is what helps us feel steady, supported and held.
When it’s balanced, it offers strength, patience and a deep sense of grounding.
But when it rises too high, it can create a heaviness in both body and mind.

You might notice:

• Persistent tiredness
• A resistance to change
• Feeling weighed down emotionally or physically
• Difficulty motivating yourself
• Holding tightly to what feels familiar
• Cravings for comfort or overeating

If you recognise yourself here, please know this isn’t a lack of willpower. It’s your body quietly asking for a lighter, more invigorating kind of support.

Ayurveda teaches that when Kapha feels heavy, we invite in warmth, movement and gentle stimulation. That might look like:

• Warm, light, uplifting foods
• Movement or yoga that awakens energy
• Breathwork that clears and enlivens
• Breaking routines that feel stagnant
• Seeking fresh air, sunlight and nature
• Ayurvedic massage (Abhyanga) to encourage flow and circulation

Abhyanga can be especially nurturing when Kapha feels out of balance.
The warmth of the oils, the rhythm of the strokes and the encouragement of movement through the body help release stagnation and bring back a feeling of aliveness.

When Kapha returns to balance, there’s more clarity, more lightness, more ease.
Energy begins to lift.
Motivation gently returns.
You feel grounded, but no longer stuck, more like yourself again.

If this resonates, you’re not alone, and you’re not “too much” or “not enough”.
You’re simply being called back into balance.

There is something so special about reading words like these. ✨

To know that someone arrived feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and pulled in every direction… and left feeling quiet, calm, lighter and deeply held means the world.

Ayurvedic massage has such a beautiful way of guiding you back into yourself. The warmth, the oils, the slow rhythm… it all works gently with your nervous system to soften the edges and help you breathe again.

If you are moving through December feeling stretched thin or you can’t remember the last time you truly relaxed, you are not alone and you don’t have to wait until the new year to feel better.

A moment of ease is closer than you think. 💛

I will be available for treatments on:
Wed 10 Dec, Thurs 11 Dec, Wed 17 Dec and my last day before Christmas will be Thurs 18 Dec

🧑‍🎄 Gift vouchers are also available, the perfect thoughtful present for someone who needs rest, care and time for themselves.

DM me to book your session or gift a treatment to someone who needs the same sense of calm.
