Ive been consciously trying to up my protein as I know the importance of it - especially for women and with my job being active I need it more

So lets talk - Power of Protein for Women

Protein isn’t just for the gym girls — it’s essential for every woman, every day

Here’s why you need it in your life:

Supports hormone balance
Builds and maintains lean muscle
Boosts metabolism & energy
Strengthens hair, skin & nails
Keeps you fuller for longer (bye cravings!)

Whether your goal is to feel stronger, improve your mood, or simply take better care of your body — protein plays a HUGE role.

Think: eggs, chicken, fish, yogurt, tofu, beans, nuts

Small changes = big impact. Start adding more protein to your meals and watch your body thank you.

A coffee in the Sunshine ☕️ ☀️ - but its so much more than that……..

Why Vitamin D Matters More Than You Think

Vitamin D isn’t just another nutrient—it’s essential for keeping your body functioning at its best.

Often called the “sunshine vitamin,” it plays a crucial role in helping your body absorb calcium, which keeps your bones and teeth strong. Without enough vitamin D, you may be at higher risk of fractures, muscle weakness, and long-term bone conditions.

But it doesn’t stop there.

Vitamin D also supports your immune system, helping your body fight off infections more effectively. Some research even suggests it may play a role in mood regulation, with low levels being linked to fatigue and low mood—especially during darker months.

👩‍🦰 Why it’s especially important for women as they age:
As women get older—particularly during and after menopause—levels of estrogen decline. This can lead to a decrease in bone density, increasing the risk of osteoporosis. Vitamin D becomes even more important at this stage because it helps the body absorb calcium efficiently and maintain stronger bones, reducing the risk of fractures and long-term complications.

The challenge? Many people don’t get enough.

Between spending more time indoors, using sunscreen (which is important!), and limited sunlight in certain regions, deficiency is surprisingly common.

💡 Simple ways to boost your Vitamin D:
• Spend a little time in sunlight each day
• Include foods like oily fish, eggs, and fortified products
• Consider supplements if recommended

Taking care of your vitamin D levels is a small step that can make a big difference to your overall health—especially as you age.
