I don’t see setbacks as end points.
I see them as pauses.

During the COVID lockdowns, I experienced what I’d genuinely call a setback, mentally and physically.

My routine disappeared, my momentum stalled, and I fell behind the goals I had set for myself. And for a while, I felt that weight of “I’m not where I should be.”

But here’s the thing, even in that period, I never fully gave in.

I might not have been moving forward at the pace I wanted, but I didn’t abandon who I was trying to become. I didn’t quit on myself. And that matters more than most people realise.

Coming back after that period didn’t just make me stronger, it gave me clarity...

Clarity on what I actually wanted. Clarity on the life I was building towards. And a deeper level of passion, because I had felt first hand what my life looked and felt like when I wasn’t pursuing my goals.

Setbacks don’t erase progress unless you let them define you and you embody that as a new identity.

Sometimes they exist to remind you why you started in the first place...

Sometimes falling behind is what sharpens your focus, strengthens your resolve, and reconnects you with the version of yourself you refuse to give up on.

Pauses aren’t failures.

They’re often the reason the comeback is stronger and true momentum can be built from the clarity and perspective from falling behind!

Where are you paused right now, and what’s stopping you from starting again?

I celebrate effort just as much as outcomes!

Because results are always visible, however effort often isn’t as can often be over looked and usually by yourself!

Consistency isn’t just about ticking off gym sessions.

It’s the consistency in how you show up with the effort you put into each session, even when energy is low.

The small nutritional changes you keep repeating, not the “perfect” plan you followed for a week before feeling overwhelmed and fall back behind

The habits you’re building slowly, awkwardly, imperfectly but repeatedly.

And sometimes consistency is just not giving up!

Life gets chaotic, Work ramps up, Stress hits, Sleep suffers, You miss targets, You don’t train how you wanted, You feel behind,
But you keep trying!

You still make a better choice when you can

You still show up in some way and you don’t quit on yourself!

That effort matters more than you realise...

Because over time, that repeated effort compounds and that’s what gets you the result...

And as a by product, you build something even stronger, resilience and perseverance!

So if you’re in a phase where progress feels slow, messy, or inconsistent… make sure that you see the effort as that’s worth celebrating too!

My routines support the person I want to become...

That’s really what Project Momentum is built around.

It’s not about being perfect or having endless motivation.

It’s about putting simple routines in place that make training, eating well, and looking after yourself fit into real life.

Especially when things are busy, stressful, or not going to plan.

Those routines aren’t there to restrict you.

They’re there to support you, as they reduce decision fatigue, create consistency, and allow progress to happen without constantly having to start over.

Over time, that consistency builds more than just physical change. It builds trust in yourself, builds confidence and keeps you aware that you’re moving forward, even when results aren’t immediately obvious.

That’s momentum.

Stuggling with momentum? Drop me a DM and together we will get the ball rolling!

5 Things to Prioritise Over the Festive Period!

1. Calendar Structure...

Look ahead at your month.
Plan around work events, family meals, and social nights.

2. Plan Ahead...

Once your calendar is clear, think ahead about food choices and environments.
Structure and control create freedom.

3. Adjust Your Goals...

If you want to stay in a deficit, great.
But don’t let one meal derail your mindset.
Maintenance weeks are sometimes the smarter play.

4. Smart Workout Planning...

Schedule workouts around days you know you can commit to.
If you can only hit 2 sessions, plan for 2, not 5.

5. Radical Honesty...

Be honest with yourself.
If you want to relax your diet, do it intentionally.
Mixed signals create stress, clarity creates control.

You can’t build a new life while living by old habits.

The problem isn’t your genetics

It isn’t your age...

It isn’t your schedule...

It’s your identity!

You’re still living like the person you’re trying to outgrow.

Still thinking like them.

Still acting like them.

And here’s the truth most people miss...

Discipline isn’t something you’re born with it’s built through repeated habits.

You don’t wake up disciplined, you train it,

Daily, Quietly, Relentlessly.

If you want to become the person you really want to be, then you have to do what your future self will be doing!

Change who you are , and the body will follow.

Fitness is not a punishment and should never feel like one!

I got into fitness because I saw a better version of myself waiting on the other side of it.

I knew that moving my body, eating well, and getting stronger would enrich my life, not restrict it.

One of the things I love most is the culture around it. The gym has always felt like an open, welcoming space, a community of people who all want to grow. Being around like minded people, celebrating their wins, watching them hit goals they once thought were impossible… it is exciting!

And that’s why I’m so passionate about what I do.

A fit and healthy body doesn’t just “look” better, it makes life feel more free. More energy...
More confidence...
More moments where you realise you’re capable of so much more than you thought.

So if fitness has ever felt like a punishment to you, I want you to know that it’s meant to make your life better, fuller, and more fun.

Yes there will always be moments of dread, frustration and times where will power is essential...

But those are temporary for the long term goal of living a long, strong and exciting life!

Honestly, what is it that stops this being more enjoyable for you?

Why you’re afraid to start and how waiting for January always keeps you stuck.

Waiting for January is the same as waiting for Monday…

The intention is real, the emotions are strong, but what we fail to realise is this...

When we delay starting, we assume we’ll feel different on that “perfect day.”

I’ve lived through that cycle so many times at one point

And here’s what I learned...

When that “fresh start” finally arrived…

I was the exact same person I was the day I made the plan...

Nothing had magically changed...

I woke up feeling the same...

Life hadn’t suddenly become more convenient...

The struggles I was avoiding? Still there... Still mine to deal with...

And that’s when it hit me...

Time was passing anyway. so what was the point in pushing back the very thing that would lead me to who I wanted to become?

Because the truth is this...

There will always be variables...

There will always be challenges...

And those challenges shape the person you become.

We all know what happens when someone never faces anything difficult, they stay the same and they don’t grow.

Growth comes from choosing to act despite the discomfort, not waiting for a different version of yourself to take over.

because that future version of yourself that you are waiting on, doesn't show

That’s not to say everyone starts from the same place, but every transformation begins the same way...

With taking control of one small thing. One anchor decision that keeps you aligned with the person you want to become.

Start there. Not in January. Not on Monday.

If this has been you comment down below what prompted you to take action.

If this resonates with you strongly at this time, then drop me a DM, lets get you started on that anchor that keeps you invested in YOU!

5 Things I Do To Stay On Point With My Training & Nutrition

Everyone thinks it’s motivation that keeps you consistent…

But for me, it’s these 5 things

1. I stopped chasing motivation and started understanding my WHY.

When I know why I’m doing this, I don’t fall apart during busy periods or festive seasons. My why anchors me when life gets loud.

2. I stick to my non-negotiables.

A minimum number of weight-training days.

Simple nutrition targets I hit before I indulge.

I don’t restrict... I adjust. I make foods work for me, not against me.

3. I built discipline through small habit changes.

One action at a time.

The more reps of a habit I collect, the easier discipline becomes.

It’s not about willpower... it’s about repetition.

4. I reflect on who I was vs who I am now.

I look at the decisions that got me here… and the ones that will shape the next 5–10 years.

I want my future self to know that I made the most of the time that I had, that got him to the position he is in now!

5. I focus on structure.

Structure gives me clarity.

Clarity keeps me calm.

When I follow a plan, stress drops and consistency becomes easy.

Because real freedom doesn’t come from doing whatever you want, it comes from having a goal and a framework that keeps the chaos away.

If you want to feel more consistent without relying on motivation, start with just one of these. Then build.

Need help creating a structure that actually works for your lifestyle?
