Well I am just back from holiday and already have appointments set up. I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and are feeling ready for the week ahead. I’m excited for a busy week of meeting new people and supporting my customers with their ear health needs.
For those who don’t know me yet, my name is Tony and I run Hear Clear, a mobile ear wax removal service to your home.

Olive oil and ears 🧐 Good to know
👂🏽 Olive oil useage does not stop wax buildup - we have between 1000 to 2000 glands per ear. These are ceruminous (apocrine) and sebaceous glands located in the outer third of the ear canal just under the skin. Olive oil does not suppress, or block these glands.
👂🏽 The benefits of oil is that it can temporarily dilute wax and moisturise the ear canal. It should always be used in moderation, recommended dosage is X1 drop per ear monthly.
👂🏽 Ear migration rate is roughly 2-3mm per month therefore deeper wax is often only removable via a professional, due to the location. It's also common for it to attach to dead skin also present in the canal, halting it from moving to the exit.
