This is one for the parents with the new borns.
Excuse the selfie photo, I took Buddy to Wembley last night for his first arena gig and we danced sang and chatted all night to Becky Hill, we loved it!
But only yesterday, he was kicking and crying all night, his little sparrow legs dangling in my arms. I knew nothing about him, he knew nothing about me.
Ask everyone I know, after 6 weeks I was thinking hang about this isn’t what I thought it was going to be. Make the most of it, no thanks. Every moment is precious, no it’s not, it passes in the blink of an eye ummmmmm no this night has been going on for 236 hours. The gritty eyes, the sheer mental exhaustion, how it consumes you.
Time ticks at the same rate whether it’s an easier day or a tricky day and that’s the same when you are attached 24/7 or you have both your kids at school and the days look different.
Fast forward 9 years and here we are, I will never forget those times, like I will never forget Buddy’s face when the lights went down, the stage lit up, the bass dropped and Becky came on stage!!
I guess my point is, hang on in there. Things do pass, and they are ALWAYS 2 steps ahead of you!
A hand delivery tonight to the sibling of my very first placenta babies has made me soft tonight 😝😂
