One of my stalwart ladies who has been with me for a long time!

Two things I want to say here…

This lovely client has been consistent 👌🏼 I know I go on about this but it is honestly the key 🔑 to midlife health & fitness 💕
It’s not about how much / what / when /where… it’s all about consistently showing up for your body & movement 🙌🏼 doing something you love every week, a bit of movement every day ✔️ making movement a habit ❤️

Secondly I try to add variety into each class - this isn’t just for my clients but it’s actually more for me 😂🥳
There is variety but there’s also repetition of moves so there’s some familiarity for clients so they can improve & progress 👍🏼

Reading this kind of feedback really is the best! 💕
Louise has been part of my classes for decades, from energetic Monday morning aerobics in her thirties to now enjoying mat Pilates in her sixties.

Her journey is a perfect reminder that movement isn’t just about exercise—it’s about adapting, growing & changing, finding what feels good at every stage of life 🌼 That doesn’t mean we have to slow down & stop the movement we love but maybe add in what your body & mind need right now 🌼

Hi there! 👋🏼 I’m Carolyn!

I’m a 54 year old mum to 3 teens, wife to Lee, & a Pilates teacher & personal trainer with over 25 years of experience. More recently I’ve loved supporting midlife women through the changes and challenges of menopause 💞

My mission? To help women reconnect with their health & fitness, rediscover their strength & embrace movement that truly brings them joy—whether it’s pilates, strength training, yoga, or just a good dance in the living room! 🤍

I feel incredibly lucky to wake up every day knowing that what I do makes a difference, even in the smallest ways. Working with women, planning classes, & seeing transformations in confidence & health drives me forward 👏🏼

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me out walking my cocker spaniel, Mia, enjoying gallons of tea, or relaxing on the sofa! Friends and family are everything to me—I’m grateful to be surrounded by people who lift me up & know I can rely on when needed ♥️

As we celebrate World Menopause Day today there’s definitely a slight shift away from stigma & embarrassment to a more positive outlook 💞

Second Spring, or ‘Eurh Chun’ originates in ancient Chinese & refers to a period in a woman’s life, usually around midlife, where they experience renewed energy, purpose, and vitality 💞

What an uplifting & empowering way to redefine menopause and how insightful all those years ago!

Helping Reduce Midlife Anxiety & Stress 🌈

Stress & anxiety can show up in many different ways & is a common symptom at all stages of midlife & menopause. Physical symptoms of headaches, nausea, heart palpitations, loss of appetite & sweating as well as emotional changes, feeling sad, constant worrying & feeling overwhelmed 💕

Nadi Shodhana or alternate nasal breathing is a wonderful practice & really useful tool to help reduce feelings of stress & anxiety 🌈 nadi shodhana works by closing one nostril gently with thumb or finger & breathing through the opposite on repeat 💞 this was part of yoga flows morning class 💞

The real question is HOW do we add breathing practices or any other self care practice into our day & week?

Here’s 3 tips that I use myself & with clients 💞

💞 ADD - add a short breath practice to a routine you already have - so if you always drive home from work before you get out add in your practice then - when would be good for you?

💞 SMALL - start small with just 2 minutes & only increase when it’s become part of your routine

💞 YOU - find a breath practice that really resonates with you - box breathing, sip breath, try a few out
