"A very positive experience throughout, I was made to feel very comfortable from the word go, by the receptionist and the setting. Dr Katie Barber is very personable and patient, immediately making me feel understood and at ease. Explanations were clearly given as well as being thorough and with plenty of opportunity to ask questions." - Grace

🤧 Winter bugs 🦠

Tip 1️⃣: Wash your hands — a lot! Soap and water for 20 seconds, especially after being out in public. If no access to hand washing, then hand sanitizer works too

Tip 2️⃣: Don’t touch your face. Viruses love it when you rub your eyes or touch your mouth after grabbing a door handle.

Tip 3️⃣: Stay home if you're sick- pushing through can spread germs to others and also potentially delay your own recovery.

Tip 4️⃣: Consider a facial covering in crowded indoor spaces- Especially if you're around someone vulnerable or feeling under the weather yourself.

Tip 5️⃣: Boost your immunity Get your flu and COVID jab if eligible. You can check if your eligible on the NHS website: www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/flu-vaccine/ (link in bio)

And to take Vitamin D supplements until at least next April. Vitamin D is readily available in all supermarkets and chemists, the recommended dose is 1000 IU a day.

😴 Feeling Tired All The Time

Step 1️⃣: Start with the basics: Sleep, Hydration, Eating Regular and Being mindful of screen time

Step 2️⃣: Think about stress & mental health: Low mood, anxiety, and burnout can all drain your energy — even if you feel you’re getting enough sleep

Step 3️⃣: Consider medical causes: Thyroid problems, Vitamin deficiencies which can be checked with a blood test

Step 4️⃣: Track patterns
When does the fatigue hit? Morning, afternoon, all day? Consider a diary

If tiredness is affecting your daily life, speak to your GP or qualified clinician. Listen to your body, and don’t hesitate to get it checked out.

Introducing the nursing team
Alison, Leanne and Karla are the clinic’s Health Care Assistants (HCA’s) and are on hand to assist the doctors during our busy clinic sessions. They have extensive experience working in the NHS including specialist work in gynaecology clinics. In addition to undertaking initial assessments such as blood pressure, height and weight, they are trained phlebotomists and process the blood samples taken at the clinic.

Our HCA’s also act as chaperones during examinations and assist the clinicians for procedures including coil and implant fittings.
