Today I was completely besotted by the most beautiful little one. This tiny little one, already the most incredible younger sibling 💙💗 was an absolute trooper, and latched beautifully, with Mummy being the calmest, most patient soul ❤️

Feeding isn’t easy. It may be natural, but it doesn’t always come naturally. It takes time, support, reassurance and so much patience.

With the right support network and gentle encouragement, this little one had the most beautiful feed at just two days old, using the rugby ball position and it was truly phenomenal to witness.

We used CHINS as our guide, worked through each step calmly, and after 20–30 minutes of perseverance, everything came together.

A reminder that:

I am so incredibly humbled to be part of this family’s journey. What a privilege it is to walk alongside parents in these precious early days ❤️🌿

Off to teach Infant First Aid today 💚

There’s something incredibly special about sharing life-saving knowledge with parents, carers and families. Infant first aid isn’t about fear, it’s about confidence, calm, and knowing what to do if the unthinkable ever happens.

From choking and CPR to everyday bumps and accidents, these sessions are designed to be supportive, practical and reassuring. My hope is always that you never need to use these skills – but if you do, you’ll feel prepared and empowered.

Today I had the absolute privilege of seeing a family for the third time during their antenatal sessions, as they prepare to welcome their baby into the world. To say I am proud of them is truly an understatement ❤️

We’ve covered so much together, clothing, sleep, choking, feeding, bathing, birth, and everything in between and it has been such a wonderful journey to support them during this special time.

Last week we began colostrum harvesting, and today they achieved an incredible 1ml (image for reference only, credit to Reddit). This was carefully decanted into 0.5ml syringes and frozen, with the date, time, name, and amount clearly labelled, ready to be taken into hospital.

This is such an amazing achievement. The calm, confidence, and positive energy this mum brings into every session honestly blows me away, she is an incredible mum ❤️

Just for context, colostrum harvesting is not easy. It can be challenging both antenatally and postnatally, requiring patience, perseverance, and support. If you are considering harvesting or would like advice, reassurance, or guidance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, I’d be more than happy to help 🌿

As the year draws to a close, I just want to take a moment to say thank you to every family, parent, grandparent, and professional who has supported Nurture With Dawn this year ❤️

This year has been filled with connection, learning, growth, and so many meaningful conversations from first aid sessions to pre- and post-natal support. It truly means the world to be trusted during such precious moments in your journey ❤️

💫 Thoughts are with those effected 💫

I want to take a moment to acknowledge and thank all the emergency services and staff who acted swiftly to care for those injured and to protect others. Your dedication in the most devastating circumstances does not go unnoticed.

My thoughts are with the families of those affected, the injured, and everyone who witnessed or was impacted by this heartbreaking event that occured last night on the train, that stopped at Huntingdon station. I hope each and every one of you receives the support and care you need during this incredibly difficult time.

We stand together in compassion.
