And this is a dad's experience of Natalhypnotherapy.co.uk

Yeh dad found it very useful, he was so supportive the whole time and I remember him just repeating positive affirmations to me during the most intense pushing part so I really felt supported throughout. He was also super prepared when the day came and I really think it was down to the course and really understanding the birthing process.
😀
Thanks again for the recommendation

Thanks to mum & dad for letting me share. It was a pleasure to help.

Many thanks to this mum for sharing her experience of Natalhypnotherapy.co.uk 🤗

Hi Paula, happy new year!
Just wanted to give you a little update since I know you were interested to hear how I got on with the hypnobirthing.
I gave birth to a little boy on 22nd December (he was 8 pounds 7 oz so on slightly heavier side)
I did the online course of the natal hypnotherapy website that you sent me instead of a zoom class. This really suited me and my partner since we could do it together when we had the time and also go back to sections that I felt like I wanted an extra recap on. I’m so happy you recommended it to me, it really helped during the birth and put us both in a good and knowledgeable mindset.
My contractions started at 6am in the morning, by lunchtime I was having 3-4 strong ones in 10 minutes. Here in Sweden you have to call the hospital before going and they wanted me to stay at home for longer even though I felt like I should go in so I listened to the audios of maggie and also the music that she has and just tried to relax through the pain. I eventually went to the hospital at 6.30pm when I couldn’t bear the pain anymore and when I got there I was fully dilated and he was born at 8pm. The hypnobirthing tracks and knowledge definately helped me to get through the pain and manage to last for a long time before going to the hospital.

Thanks again for your time and giving me the understanding of hypnobirthing

More wise words.

It definitely does help to do as much as possible to try to achieve the birth you want, but sometimes the universe and babies have other plans.

Today at the RCM Annual Conference with my colleague Amanda Redford. Keeping up to date with current practice and maternity issues is important at Arohamama. In the Students Conference Hall - so good to be spending time with the next generation of midwives.

This is so wise.

Mums if your baby is breech take a look at moxibustion, a gentle way to try to turn your baby to head first. Message me to find out about moxibustion services locally.

Have you been told that your baby is breech ?

Most babies are born in a vertex or head down position, allowing for an easier passage out of the uterus and through the pelvis. Babies will typically turn head down between 28-32 weeks.

Breech describes a pregnancy in which the baby is not positioned head down. Often a breech baby will be bottom down, while others are feet first or transverse. 3-4% of babies are breech at 37 weeks. Often a breech presentation can lead to a C-section.

Your health care provider may discuss ECV (External Cephalic Version), a manual technique to turn your baby to a head down position, however ECV has its own risks. Your healthcare provider may also discuss moxibustion a traditional chinese medicine technique, a non-invasive technique to turn your breech baby.

Research suggests that Moxibustion is MORE effective for turning a Breech presentation than ECV.

🌸💕 Fetal Movements 💕🌸

There is no set number of normal movements you should be feeling – every baby is different. Your baby will have their own pattern of movements that you should get to know.

From 18-24 weeks on you should feel the baby move more and more. After 32 weeks, the movements will stay roughly the same until you give birth.

It is NOT TRUE that babies move less towards the end of pregnancy.

You should CONTINUE to feel your baby move right up to the time you go into labour and during labour.
Get to know your baby’s normal pattern of movements.

DO NOT WAIT until the next day to seek advice if you are worried about your baby’s movements.
