Come along to your friendly local Slimming World group, meet a whole new bunch of friends and lose weight at the same time. Fill up on lots of delicious, tasty free food, never feel hungry and watch the pounds fade away. Weigh in slots available Fridays from 3.45pm-5.15pm and Saturdays from 8am-12pm then be supported from the comfort of your own home. 🤩Recipe of the Week 🤩

🎃Pumpkin-spiced French toast🎃

Give your mornings a lift with eggy bread, maple syrup and juicy blackberries

🤩Ingredients 🤩

⭐️2 pinches each of ground ginger and nutmeg
⭐️¼ tsp ground cinnamon, plus extra to serve
⭐️2 level tsp sweetener granules
⭐️4 medium eggs, beaten
⭐️4 slices wholemeal bread from a small 400g loaf
⭐️Low-calorie cooking spray
⭐️4 tbsp fat-free natural Greek yogurt
⭐️150g fresh blackberries
⭐️4 level tsp maple syrup

🤩Method 🤩

⭐️In a large, shallow dish – big enough to fit in all 4 slices of bread in a single layer – mix the spices (these make up the classic American pumpkin spice mix) and sweetener into the eggs along with 4 tbsp water. Add the bread and leave to soak for 3-4 minutes. Turn over and soak for a further 3-4 minutes, spooning over any egg that’s left over.

⭐️Spray a large, non-stick frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and put over a medium-high heat. Gently lay all the bread in the pan and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

⭐️Take the toast out of the pan, cut into triangles and divide between 2 plates. Dollop the yogurt on top and scatter over the blackberries. Drizzle each plate with 2 level tsp maple syrup and sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon just before serving.

7 Syns per serving
20 minutes
Serves 2

Deduct 6 Syns if using Wholemeal bread small loaf as a Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice.

Want to be more active and have fun too? It might help to rethink the E word 🤭! Exercise doesn’t have to mean Lycra – plenty of regular tasks and daily errands count as workouts, too! Dancing around with your kids, vigorous vacuuming and choosing stairs over the lift are all forms of beneficial physical activity 💪❤️
