This page is to keep everyone up to date with the work we do at Second Sight Healing- which involves one to one shamanic healing with Jez Hughes, shamanic initiation and training to practitioner level, monthly dreaming circles, talks, astrology and tarot readings and courses teaching the tarot and astrology. We also welcome indigenous elders over from their homelands to hold ceremonies and share t

heir medicine with us. We are based on the south coast of Sussex and the courses are run in woodlands in the heart of Sussex.

This immersive 9 month course is comprised of 9 modules, 3 ceremonies, meeting online with teacher and shamanic practitioner Jez Hughes.

The first weekend of the third year’s focuses on the Extraction Method in Shamanic Healing; kicking off with a sweat-lodge (and the first ever sweat-lodge on our new land)! Meet our amazing third year students and some more of our Second Sight Assistants Anya, Huw and Maya 🌿

Our first instalment of the three year shamanic training, beginning an initiatory journey around the seven directions of the medicine wheel, in the East with the fire. Each direction and element or polarity is honoured and experienced until we reach the centre, creating the balance needed for sacred work to thrive and to feed the forces that create and sustain life in a good way.

It’s now the 16th year of this work, and as ever it deepens as the invisible powers reveal more of what is needed for animistic and shamanic ways to come alive again on this land. We honour the land, we honour the ancestors and we honour life.

Our first weekend back with the second years (of the Merging Souls Clan) was absolutely breath-taking. The ‘Below’ weekend includes a Burial Ceremony; an exquisite opportunity to spend a night underground to receive deep healing and connection with Mother Earth.

As always, it was a joy for Second Sight to take part in the 2025 Wixarika Pilgrimage alongside Maye Tekuta Foundation. We traveled to the Wirrikuta, Wolf Mountain and the Communities and finally Haramara on the coast. Many thanks for all who came and of course to Don Eusebio, Don Euganio, Rodrigo, Jez and Diego!

Welcome to the Woods - an exciting new home for Second Sight and a truly beautiful site for the grounding of this work; the revival of an Indigenous Animistic & Shamanic practice in the UK.

What an absolute privilege to introduce to you:

It’s an exciting time here at Second Sight Healing as we ready ourselves for another magical year in the land! This year is pretty special though, as we’re settling into our BRAND NEW woods, in the Ashdown Forest! 🌳💫🤯

The land is truly beautiful, and we can’t wait to welcome our initiates this Spring! Not long now….. eeek!

Second Sight’s 3-year shamanic training offers an immersive study of shamanism, initiation, and healing practice in nature. Explore teachings through initiations, ceremony, trance, divination, communion with nature, spirits, and land, ancestral healing, and more.

🌿 Year 1 - Shamanic Initiation: Foundations of Self-Discovery. Navigate the Four Seeds Initiations, exploring elements with the Medicine Wheel, focusing on self-discovery and connecting with foundational Earth energies.

🌱 Year 2 - Deepening Spiritual Connections. Explore remaining directions through shamanic initiations, culminating in a four-day rite of passage - a mini pilgrimage to deepen spiritual connections and integrate the learning so far.

🌾 Year 3 - Shamanic Healing Techniques. Focus on cross-cultural healing techniques, including Ancestral Healing, Soul Retrieval, and Psychopomp. Equip yourself to work as a shamanic healer and adapt to Western perspectives.

Last call for this webinar beginning tonight. We had an amazing introduction two weeks ago and we're both excited to go so much deeper. This is such a big topic, especially at present, where it could be said a collective psychosis is taking over whole societies and communities whilst individuals are suffering deeply through the lack of connection the modern world fosters. As a result spiritual awakenings can easily turn to spiritual crises.

Having two people who went through this themselves when little was known about such phenomena and who have over fifty years combined professional experience in our respective areas of study, is a real blessing I think. I'm learning a lot already just interacting with John. I'm sure this can be passed on.

We will explore all aspects of these crises- environmental, social, ancestral, astrological, trauma led and spiritual whilst offering a grounded, holistic view. Recordings available afterwards if you can't make the time. Come join us
