1. Hydrate:
Increase your water intake for 24 hours after your massage. After manipulating the muscles, substances are released. Drinking water can help to flush out these substances.
2. Exercise:
Muscles will be looser and softer after a massage, so it is recommended to wait 24 hours with exercise. But after the 24 hours, it is beneficial to move your body.
3. Eat nourishing food:
Don't eat too heavy foods after your massage. Eating nutritious food can help catalyse recovery of your muscles. Foods such as green leafy vegetables, steamed vegetables, fruits and some lean protein source.
4.Book your next appointment:
Although the effects of massage can be
prolonged, it will not be permanent. Your muscles could tense up again if you don't keep on top of it with regular massages. Once a month is a good interval.
