It’s exam results season! Wishing everyone lots of luck. ☘

Whatever the outcome, worrying about grades or the next steps can cause anxiety and stress.

Parents and carers can access free courses, to help you understand the emotions your young person is going through.

There are also free courses teens can follow themselves, to help them process their feelings.

These courses include:
• Understanding your teenager's brain
• Understanding the impact of the pandemic on your teenager (long-lasting effects may still be impacting them)
• Understanding your feelings (for teenagers only!)
• Understanding your brain (for teenagers only!)

While your young person may not feel like yet more study, please reassure them the courses are short and easy to follow!

The courses, from In Our Place, and created NHS psychology experts, are completely free for everyone in the Bradford District, using the code BDPARENTS.

To access, search online for InOurPlace Bradford, or follow the links from the FYI (Families and Young Person’s Information) website, parenting programmes pathway. Links in the comments

WACA and our GR8 Minds team would like to say a huge thank you to all the stall holders, attendees and community support that made yesterday's SEN Event such a success.
It was the first event of this kind that we have held, and we were so pleased to have representation from so many organisations that support children and families with special educational needs.

We have had some great feedback and ideas for future events and look forward to sharing these with you.

We would also like to thank the following companies and organisations that kindly donated prizes for our raffle...
Bettys, Thornton Hall Country Park, Clip 'N Climb Ilkley Ltd Bradford City AFC, Azeems restaurant official Shipley Swimming Pool, Caffè Nero
..and a huge thank you to Rebecca, the Community Champion at Asda for very kindly providing the event with refreshments
