It's and I attended the Time Out Club in Elford, an amazing initiative that supports people with dementia and their families.

It is run by volunteers, many of whom are former carers and nurses, and provides affordable day care for those with dementia and some respite for their caregivers.

What an amazing service to provide to the community. Thank you to Barry Coleman, who set it up.

⭐I was delighted to meet up with international singing star Tony Christie, prior to his nostalgia packed show which is coming to the our town’s historic Assembly Rooms next week.

I will be compering the charity evening on Saturday 10 February and can't wait to bring this absolutely fabulous show to our town.

Despite Tony himself being diagnosed with the early stages of dementia, the celebrated vocalist is looking and sounding as good as ever when I had the pleasure of seeing him perform in Lichfield recently.

🎵Tony will perform all of his greatest hits including ‘Is This the Way to Amarillo’, ‘Las Vegas’, ‘I Did What I Did For Maria’, ‘Daddy Don't You Walk So Fast’, ‘Avenues and Alleyways’, ‘Drive Safely Darlin’ and ‘Solitaire’, along with his brand new single ‘Thank You For Being A Friend’.

🎟️Some tickets are still available for the show which, will be staged at Tamworth Assembly Rooms on Saturday 10 February, starting a 7.30pm.

Grace Cares is a local community interest group in Lichfield who have a wide range of pre-loved items including Wheelchairs, Three Wheel Rollators, Four Wheel Rollators, Riser Recliner Chairs, Tray Tables and Overbed tables.

We are in Lichfield on the A515 at Elmhurst Business Park, Unit 2, The Portal, WS13 8EX (Just past the stables). We are usually here Mon-Fri 9-5 but give us a call if you are coming so we can get the kettle on 07779 300462.

Don’t forget if you have any care equipment you would like to donate, give us a call, we can pick it up or you can drop it off.
