"You think the gym is hard⁉️Try breaking 10 years of all-or-nothing thinking."

When a new client hit week 2, they messaged me:

"Ian… I only trained twice this week. I’ve already ruined it, haven’t I?"

NO... Not even close.

Because this isn’t just a workout plan - it’s mindset rehab.

Most people fail not because the gym is too hard…

…but because they’ve been taught:

→ “If I can’t do it perfectly, I shouldn’t do it at all.”
→ “Missing one day = failure.”
→ “Start again Monday” is always the answer.

Most busy professional men aren’t too busy to train.

They’re just stuck in the “after this week” trap.

And it’s costing them years of progress.

Let me explain...

I coach busy men every day.

“I’ll start when things calm down.”...

Harsh.
But true!

Every summer I see the same thing.

Dads:
Standing by the pool...
Holding the towels...
Taking the photos...

But rarely in them.

Why?

Because somewhere along the way:

Work got busy...

Fitness got pushed aside...
And confidence quietly disappeared.

So instead of jumping in with the kids…

If the scales mess with your head… read this.

The number on the scale is just one data point -
not your progress report.

Yet so many busy people step on, see a random fluctuation, and think they’re failing.

“Morning mate - sorry to interrupt your weekend…”

That’s how Steve’s message started.

A year ago, on his 51st birthday, he looked at a photo of himself and said:

“I can’t carry on like this.”

Fast forward to now?
✅ 3+ stone lost

What they don’t tell you about fat loss...

But these 5 ‘truths’ explain why most people stay stuck:

1. You won’t always feel motivated
(Fat loss is built on routine - not hype. Discipline > dopamine.)

2. You can’t out-train a poor diet
(You could crush every workout - but without nutrition? You’re just spinning wheels.)

3. Low calories = low energy, low libido, low results
(Starvation isn’t a strategy. It’s a shortcut to burnout.)

4. Fat loss requires sleep
(Just 5-6 hours a night? Your hunger hormones go haywire - and fat loss slows down.)

Our Story

Welcome to the GymWolfPT Online Personal Training page. Like this page to connect with our fitness community, ask questions, share your success stories and receive updates.

My Story:

I've always exercised, first playing football, then in the gym. But through my 20s and 30s I wasn't really seeing the results. I was in decent shape, but too much partying and a dodgy diet meant I never saw the full benefits of the effort I was putting in. Approaching 40, married with 2 kids (now 3) and a high-pressured job, I decided it was time for a change. In the past 18 months I've blasted it, in both the gym and the kitchen, to turn my physique, attitude and energy levels around, and become a qualified personal trainer along the way. Now I'm lean and hungry like a wolf - the GymWolfPT!

​I look back at how I trained and ate when I was younger and wish someone with the knowledge and passion for fitness I have now had invited me into their pack and shown me where I was going wrong. Now I'm making it my mission to do just that for anyone who is GENUINELY COMMITTED to changing their lives.
