Selfe Online Coach working with Female Creatives, (Dance & Wellbeing Specialist) Selfe uses Personal training, nutrition and reflection, with a key focus on strength.

Building stronger bodies enables clients to feel self-accomplishment and pride. A key aim is for clients to be able to transfer their training & feeling of self-empowerment into daily life. Selfe also works with dancers looking at the different training needed outside of technique, hosting workshops with special guests filled with physical training and introspective training.

Unfortunately you are the only one that can say yes

We all have stories that keep us safe

We use them, unknowingly most of the time, as a shield

“I’ve got a lot going on”

“I’m not sure whether I can afford it right now”

“I’ll try again when I can really commit”

They all give you reason to postpone, a bit of hope that in the future you will reach out and ask for support in becoming the person you really see in your big vision

But ask yourself, are these stories true?

Or am I scared I won’t be as good as I think I could be?

What is it that I’m too afraid to confront about myself?

Why don’t I want to take the leap of faith?

I know that there’s a really big part of you that gets excited and absolutely buzzing with the thought of joining the coaching programme

And just know I would make the experience worth every commitment and sacrifice

Because I would love to coach you, support you, and help you grow into the next evolution of you

But only you can take that initial step in saying YES

And then it clicked

I saw this dad on the internet and things made sense.

(Thanks dad on the internet)

And so I had to share it with my clients and now you

What if we stopped trying to plan the next 5 years and become someone “new”

Yes yes yes, have goals, have BIG goals - they excite us, provide direction, accountability

But what is your dream day or week?

What would it look like, feel like, what would you be doing?

And so rather than keep thinking all the way in 5 years time, or even “next year”

(Which by the way keeps being “next year”)

We just tried to get as close to those dream days as possible, every single day

People give up on their goals and big dreams, because there is a huge missing piece of the puzzle

The present is more powerful than planning - the present is how you shape the future.

What can you do to get closer and closer to those dream days?

What is your intuition telling you?

What is your gut instinct or feeling telling you

Have you ever seen an opportunity, and can instantly imagined yourself there

working with THAT person, or getting THAT job, or doing THAT event

Have you ever seen something and you’ve thought, “that’s for me, I can see myself doing that”
..but never went for it?

What was it that stopped you?

Distraction? Waiting for everything else to be perfect first? Forgetfulness?

Or is a small 10% of you saying “you’re not good enough”?

I don’t know about you, but I kick myself every single time I see someone doing the thing I know I could be doing

I quiet my instinct, saying I’m being too irrational, too hasty, scared I won’t be good enough

When actually I know I should just flipping go for it and stop waiting for permission

We have been waiting for permission and acceptance for too long

Stop pushing that instinct aside, stop ignoring those visions and aspirations

We can never be 100%

If we keep waiting for 100% the opportunities will have long gone

You are ready. You are good enough.

Start listening. Act, now.

Struggling with time?

So was Jemma & Philly - 2 different women, 2 different goals, 2 absolute gems

So as you can imagine it wasn’t smart to make them do a programme 4 days a week.

Instead, I only programmed 2 days a week for them.

And focussed on leaving them the time to rest, to adapt to a new programme, to still have energy for work, to actually enjoy their new commitment

Slowly but surely we focussed on small tweaks to diet and food habits

And ensured they were finding moments of joy in their week, especially with hectic schedules

Only when they had adapted and settled into their new routine and understood how to fuel their new strength gains and recovery, did we add a third session in

This additional third session varied for each of them from swimming, running or another strength session

Having a schedule you can actually commit to and enjoy will be what actually brings you to your goals

I create your programme based on your needs, my professional knowledge and experience of coaching many many women just like you

What I wish more people know about me…
I react well under emergency situations and can remain calm but in the day to day - when I get told I’m always calm, actually sometimes I find it easier to process situations alone.

(Or I am a like a duck, calm on top and flapping underneath)

Although I can talk to a room full people at an event I’m part of or on camera about health, fitness, or dance - walking into rooms full of people (strangers or not), I find it overstimulating and anxiety inducing

(I often keep myself to myself until I feel settled)

I post al ot, but I also re-read and question everything I say or write. The secret isn’t getting it perfect but just to post and learn

So that you don’t get overwhelmed and want to give up

Let me tell you this very real story

When you set your eyes on a goal, or really dig into the dream you have for yourself

There’s probably something that it quite confronting - something you know you’ll have to come face to face with

and admit you need help with, or uncover some uncomfortable truths

Which up until now no one else, reaaally knows about

I had a client who wanted to work with me, but was scared that she’d have to talk about her weight and her food habits with me

Because it was a goal to yes become stronger but also to become leaner (which are two different goals)

Having to open up about that was going to make her feel very vulnerable

So she avoided reaching out

Until she read one post I shared, that made her feel seen and saw the work I did with other clients just like her

She knew her confidence had dropped, and she had become a “Yes” person to every project & every person, except herself

I then coached her for 12 months where she became the strongest, healthiest and most confident

That little fear about being honest - was actually the thing that allowed her to take ownership and become the most confident

I promise, let’s confront those fears together

It was only at the beach last weekend, I realised that I haven’t had any planned restI probably work a little every day....

It was only at the beach last weekend, I realised that I haven’t had any planned rest

I probably work a little every day. Fitting it in around parenthood, rehearsals, seeing family

I don’t necessarily think that’s always a bad thing

but the quality of what I am/was doing, wasn’t great, jumping between tasks

and on days where I have full laptop days - they were/are the worst

Having whole days where nobody was asking me to do anything and no one needs me to play with trains - where I’m meant to be leading my business

I just wanted time for me or to rest, but I wasn’t aware I needed rest

So I’d sit in front of the laptop and doom scroll, find myself procrastinating between tasks

Get frustrated with myself, tell myself I’m a failure,

which led to no momentum or inspiration

Example: I’ve found myself this summer, hiding in the garden, soaking up the sun - avoiding & getting anxious knowing I’m meant to be “working”

So..not enjoying work, not enjoying this forced/procrastinated rest

complete loss of drive and self-belief, thinking I’m not good enough

It wasn’t until we went to the beach, away from home, from phones, and by the sea making sandcastles

That realised, I haven’t rested and I’ve been dragging myself

Scared to “not be working” - but knowing what I was producing wasn’t consistent

Freelancing when you work alone is hard. We don’t have a team to bring us up or bounce ideas with.

Holidays and rest = not working

not working = no income = not working hard enough

And I’ve fallen into this trap

But I realise I need a rest too. An episode of netflix, or one park walk doesn’t count.

So please if you can relate to this - let’s take some needed rest

Moments and messages like this

Continue to be the reason why I want to keep coaching

Past clients, keeping me updated or dropping a message about how the coaching programme changed their lives is a blessing

They do the work.

I just make sure they have a plan, someone in their corner, show them it is possible

I allow them to experience a new way, a way that actually works for them, their demanding careers, creative minds and full on lives

I love fitness, I love movement, I love helping people get confident around food

But it often becomes more than that.

Sometimes it’s about running the 10k, sometimes it’s growing the muscle or losing body fat

Sometimes it’s getting to grips with a routine, sometimes it’s understanding what a boundary is

Sometimes it’s falling in love with life again... to get the spark back at work and home

A lot of the times... it’s all of it

But what comes with those life updates, for you as a human - that’s the gold baby!

And I hope to keep helping women like these and like you, keep finding their gold.

Why I coach my people?

I believe you are capable of more,
More happiness, growth, achievements, health

and yeah some of that means more compromise, uncomfortable-ness, learning (and un-learning)

I would never ask you to do something I wouldn’t do myself

Majority of us feel overwhelmed, not sure where to start or who to ask, when it comes to bettering our health, wellbeing and fitness.

Whilst navigating intense, “abnormal” careers and lives

But I’m living it too. And want to show you, it is possible.

We can’t keep hiding behind being too “busy” to become healthier, fitter and happier
