We are currently looking for a Domestic Service Operative.

Our mission is to enhance the wellbeing of our Risedale community, through excellent care and innovation. We strive to:
• Provide high quality care for our residents and families.
• Provide education, training and empower our staff.
• Provide an inclusive and supportive culture.
• Engage with and adapt to the needs of the local community.

We are looking for someone to join us as a Domestic Service Operative, £12.25 per hour, 25 hours per week here at Risedale at Abbey Meadow, Duchy Court, Flass Lane, Barrow in Furness LA13 0BF.

Responsibilities of a Domestic Services Operative Team Member include: -
• We place our residents at the heart of all that we do.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the home including cleaning, hoovering, dusting, buffing, carpet shampooing and polishing in all areas.
• Demonstrate a key eye for detail, working independently as well as part of a team within the home.
•To create a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.
• To place the residents’ dignity at the forefront of all duties and ensure they are always treated with respect.
• Take pride within your work.
• To understand, acknowledge, implement, and maintain Risedale policies and procedure including Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements of a Domestic Services Operative Team Member role include: -
• The job involves working at Risedale at Abbey Meadow, Duchy Court, Flass Lane, Barrow in Furness LA13 0BF.
• Shifts are 9.00am - 2.00pm, 25 hours per week on a rotational contract.
• To have a friendly, caring attitude as you work around our residents.
• This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check paid for by us.

Working for us we offer:
• Bank holidays are double time.
• Uniform is provided.
• Pension is with NEST.
• The Blue Light card which gives national discounts of everyday items such as clothing and groceries.

We are looking for someone to join us as a Health Care Professional, full time and part time contracts are available, £12.60 per hour.

Responsibilities of our Health Care Professional team member:-
• We place our residents at the heart of all that we do.
• Our Health Care Professionals work part of a team, caring for the complex day to day needs of our much loved residents within our homes.
• We create a safe, supportive and respectful environment.
• Assisting our residents with their personal care whilst maintaining dignity and respect.
• Encouraging and supporting food and drink intake.
• Seeing each resident as an individual and adapting yourself to them.
• Being a friend to the residents; being there to listen to them, support them and enable them to live the life they want to live.
• Helping our residents to engage in activities.
• Updating and maintaining our resident’s records.
• Communicating with family members as well as other health care professionals.
• Taking pride in our work and are committed to high standards and innovation.

• Rotational Day Positions - Hours are 37.5 a week set on a rota and usually involve 3 long shifts per week 7.45am-9pm but some night cover is required for holidays and sickness.
• Permanent Night Positions - Hours are 8.45pm - 8am on a 7 nights on, 7 nights off basis (Monday - Sunday) or 4 nights on and 4 nights off at our Aldingham Home.

Responsibilities of our Activity Coordinator team member:-

• Our Activity Coordinators plan, organise and carry out group and one-to-one activities for all the residents in the home.
• Liaise with other staff in the home and contribute to the general care of the residents.
• Liaise with families and outside organisations to plan and involve them in activities.
• Being a friend to the residents; being there to listen to them, support them and enable them to live the life they want to live.
• Plan and carry out fundraising activities.
• We harness an open culture of acceptance, learning and development. No experience is required as we provide quality training and opportunities for you to progress.
