This post just sums up that exercising regularly will help us to sleep, and sleeping well will help us to exercise. It's like the opposite to a vicious cycle. This is sometimes known as a virtuous cycle, or a positive feedback loop.
Overall, science suggests that exercise does affect our sleep. Too little exercise as well as too much exercise can have a negative effect on our sleep.
Try out different amounts of exercise to see what works for you, but it's likely that you aren't exercising too much!
Here are some tips to improve your sleep:
• No caffeine after 12pm (caffeine messes up sleep receptors)
• Regular wake and sleep times (essential for body clock)
• Hot shower before bed (can help cool brain which is needed for quality sleep)
• Dim lights in house 2 hours before bed and minimise screen use (helps with sleep hormones)
• Try not to work in your room. I'd imagine this has increased a lot recently. Try set up an office somewhere else! Associating your room with stress is something you don't want.
