Cera Plymouth

Cera Plymouth Cera is empowering people to live longer, healthier and better lives in their own homes 🩷

We are revolutionising healthcare, by transforming the ways in which healthcare services are planned, delivered and received. Our smart, digital technology leverages data and machine learning to empower those providing care, whilst improving outcomes for those receiving it. 😁

For those delivering care, we reduce the burden of ‘pen and paper’ working and remove unnecessary administrative work, empowering them to do what they do best: care. 🧑‍⚕

For those receiving care we are able to monitor their condition digitally, predicting and preventing changes in their condition and responding to any deterioration 30-fold faster than traditional methods, reducing hospitalisations, and keeping people well in their homes. 🏡🩷

We're proud to employ a workforce that is 80% female, and as part of our commitment to being a menopause-and-menstruation-friendly employer, our network provides resources and regular opportunities for women and allies to connect and learn about the peri-menopause and menopause.

We this , when the nation unites to honour the service of the entire Armed Forces community.💚

It's a good time to give a shout out to the new Cera Military Network, an employee resource group that is open to veterans, active reservists, military spouses, family members and allies to those connected to military service.

It supports veterans in the transition to civilian careers and fosters leadership development.

The Network is also a safe space for discussions about military experiences, career challenges, and shared values, while advocating for equitable access to opportunities and recognising the unique strengths military backgrounds bring.

Cera also shows it's commitment to the armed forces family by signing up to the Armed Forces Covenant.

If you have experience in the armed forces, did you realise the transferable skills you could bring to the care industry?

👥From communication and decision-making to adaptability and resilience, your skills could make you an excellent carer, care coordinator or manager.

Monday is World Hand Hygiene Day! A reminder that hand hygiene "the right way" is crucial for protecting both service users and healthcare workers.👐

Remember👉
- Disposable gloves don't offer 100% protection and can get contaminated just like bare hands.
- Remove gloves immediately after completing a task, and always practice hand hygiene after glove removal.
- Assess each task to determine if gloves are necessary.

🖐️Examples of when to use gloves: exposure to bodily fluids; contact precautions; outbreak situations; emptying a urine drainage bag.

✋Examples of when gloves are generally NOT required (except for contact precautions): giving oral medication; assisting with dressing or mobility; taking blood pressure; handing out meals.

Check your 5 'moments' for hand hygiene in the infographic 🙌
