Meadowfields is a 65 bed en-suite care home in the picturesque area of Great Haywood Meadowfields Care Home was purchased by Northgate Healthcare in March 2015.

A major refurbishment program has begun, all aspects of the home are being looked at with a new management structure put into place. All areas of the care home will be tastefully brought up to our high standard. Meadowfields Care Home is a 65 bed en-suite care home situated in the picturesque area of Great Haywood, Stafford. Situated between Rugeley and Stafford (roughly 5 miles each way), it has

lovely views of the surrounding fields and countryside. We encourage visits to see the quality of the care that residents receive while residing in our homes, the care manager will gladly show you round the home and explain what we can offer. Appointments do not need to be made, but we cannot guarantee the manager will be available due to prior appointments. A member of the senior team will be able to show you round and answer your questions.

This morning we got creative with some canvas painting, followed by a relaxing afternoon doing nails 💅🎨

We were also delighted to receive a lovely message on behalf of David Attenborough after our residents sent him a birthday card for his 100th birthday 🎉

To top it all off, we received some beautiful photos from last week’s visit from Belle, the stunning Labrador 🐾💛

We’ve had a busy and enjoyable day today! This morning we had a lovely visit to Shugborough, taking in the beautiful surroundings.

This afternoon was just as fun, with a few lively games of bingo, while others relaxed with book club and some colouring. A great day all around!

Today we have been making the absolute most out of the weather! 🌞

This morning we were out in the garden repotting some of our plants including a beautiful lilac bush. Our residents worked hard to get everything finished before lunch.

This afternoon the forecast cleared up so we were out in the garden again where we relaxed, listened to some music, read some magazines and chatted with our friends!

It's been a beautiful day!

Its been a very musical couple of days here!

Yesterday we had manicures 💅 before Anna from Musical Moments joined us for some music therapy. We always love our visits from Anna!

Today we had Tom Wenlock come to visit us again. Tom has become a firm favourite with us so we were very excited and happy to welcome him back! We've been singing and dancing our afternoon away!

Today we have been celebrating Olive's birthday! Happy birthday! We hope you've had a fantastic day!

As well as Olive's birthday party we have had fitness with Jo this morning and some of our ladies have had their nails done

Its been another beautiful day here today!

This morning we have started with some VE day colouring whilst listening to some wartime songs where we have been singing along to Vera Lynn

This afternoon we have been doing some animal bingo upstairs - we had 4 winners of a full house all at the same time! A couple of our residents also went outside into the garden for a little bit to enjoy the sunshine. Carol and Toni checked up on our new fruit tree - we think we might have some plums starting to grow! We are looking forward to seeing its progress and seeing if we get some fruit this year.

Its been a beautiful day today! We have been very lucky with the weather! So much so we have taken advantage!

This morning we had some balloon games and then this afternoon Toni and some of our residents got outside into the garden to start planting some more flowers! We are hoping to have even more than last year!

Also did you know Sir David Attenborough is 100 years old on the 8th May? We love watching his documentaries here at Meadowfields so we have sent him a birthday card! We hope he loves it!

This morning, Toni took a couple of our residents for a lovely trip to the local garden centre. Back at the home, the rest of us got creative with some canvas painting 🎨.

This afternoon, we relaxed with a film and enjoyed a fun new “What am I?” quiz.

Today we celebrated St George’s Day with a lovely armchair trip to London 🇬🇧

In the afternoon, we had lots of fun playing group games including “What comes next?”, “Guess Who?”, “True or False”, and picture bingo. A great day full of smiles, laughter, and a little bit of learning along the way!

Today we’ve been celebrating what would have been Queen Elizabeth’s 100th birthday 👑

This morning, we spent time looking through old newspapers, magazines, and photo albums, and enjoyed watching a documentary about her life.

This afternoon, we continued the celebrations with a lovely tea party, complete with Queen Elizabeth cakes and a good old wartime sing-along 🎶

This morning we had a lovely time painting birdhouses, getting them ready to hang in the garden for summer 🐦🎨

In the afternoon, things got a bit more competitive with a lively game of bingo… and yes, we had a very familiar winner once again! 😄
