Meadowfields Care Home Meadowfields is a 65 bed en-suite care home in the picturesque area of Great Haywood Meadowfields Care Home was purchased by Northgate Healthcare in March 2015.

A major refurbishment program has begun, all aspects of the home are being looked at with a new management structure put into place. All areas of the care home will be tastefully brought up to our high standard. Meadowfields Care Home is a 65 bed en-suite care home situated in the picturesque area of Great Haywood, Stafford. Situated between Rugeley and Stafford (roughly 5 miles each way), it has lovely views of the surrounding fields and countryside. We encourage visits to see the quality of the care that residents receive while residing in our homes, the care manager will gladly show you round the home and explain what we can offer. Appointments do not need to be made, but we cannot guarantee the manager will be available due to prior appointments. A member of the senior team will be able to show you round and answer your questions.

It might be raining outside but we've have had great fun inside!

Today marks the anniversary of when Elizabeth 2nd became Queen. Our activities team were kindly given some old booklets and newspaper inserts that covered her majesty and the royal family spanning their tours and marriages. We have all enjoyed looking through these and reminiscing about the past. We also enjoyed the documentary giving us more information about her majesty's life.

This afternoon we had another fantastic fitness session with Jo filled with laughter and dancing.

Today has been National storytelling day so we have been learning about the story of Lent. We have watched a short video and done some colouring and wordsearches.

This afternoon we had a different method of storytelling with our singer Damian who came and entertained us. We have had singing and dancing with everyone getting involved!

Yesterday we celebrated Joan's 86th birthday! We hope you had a lovely party and enjoyed your day!

Today we have been doing some colouring - we really enjoyed colouring in the cat pictures and vases! And this afternoon we had some rounds of animal bingo in both lounges. Always a favourite with us and we all did amazing well at calling out our winning lines and full houses (there's always that last square!)

And a reminder that if you haven't already to book onto our afternoon tea for Valentines day or try something new with our Sip and Paint afternoon. We can't wait to see you!

Yesterday we had a fun-filled morning playing Catchphrase, along with a few quizzes. While we absolutely loved our new Catchphrase game, it turns out our residents are far too good at it — so we may need to rethink our questions next time! 💭

Today was another day packed with games. We kicked off the morning with Themed Bingo, then carried the fun into the afternoon with another brand-new game, What’s in the Box? Lots of laughter, curiosity, and great participation all around. 📦

Today we spent the morning enjoying Pride and Prejudice on the TV, in celebration of it being published 213 years ago.

Join us on the 21st February for our very first Sip & Paint afternoon — a relaxed and creative way to spend time with your loved ones.

Sit back, get creative, and enjoy some tasty snacks, with the option of a glass of bubbles 🍾. Tea, coffee, and soft drinks will also be available.

🎨 All proceeds from the event will go towards upcoming activities and entertainment in the home, helping us continue to create enjoyable experiences for everyone.

Well what a very wet morning we started with today! We got ourselves cozy and watched some movies whilst some of us had our nails done 💅

This afternoon was lounge games and since we haven't had a game of balloon badminton for a while we got the balloons out! Several of them! We had an amazing, chaotic and hilarious session of hitting them to one another! What a great afternoon!

Today we have been celebrating Hazel's birthday! Happy birthday 🎂 we hope you have had a wonderful day!

Following on from cake we spent the afternoon playing some quiz games! Always a fun and competitive time when doing any sort of game like this so we had a great afternoon.

We have had a very busy and exciting day today! The children from the local school came to visit us today for arts and crafts and in honour of wear a fun hat to work day we decorated our own on paper! It was messy but fun! We especially enjoyed that the class really got involved and all came in fun hats! They also left some of their pictures with us for us all to enjoy.

This afternoon we held a tea party with some of the residents who enjoyed plenty of tea and some fun coloured cakes 🎂 The tea party was held for Lewis Carols birthday (which is next week) but we brought it forward in order to keep in our theme for the day. We also watched the Disney Alice in Wonderland, which we all enjoyed as some of us hadn't seen it before.

Today we have been getting our thinking caps on by playing the alphabet game. Today we did things you would find in a supermarket and we all did amazingly to get an answer for every single letter! We really racked our brains to do this and we were all very proud of the achievement 👏 A very well done to everyone!

This afternoon activities have been busy getting ourselves ready for tomorrow. We have the local school coming in to visit us in the morning so we have been making sure we have everything ready. We can't wait to see our new friends again!
