Toning balls are indeed an excellent way to enhance your stability and engage your core during workouts! They add an extra layer of challenge to exercises like leg extensions and downward dogs, making them more effective.

In addition to toning balls, I love incorporating resistance bands and stability balls into routines. Resistance bands offer versatility and can target various muscle groups, while stability balls are fantastic for improving balance and core strength. Each piece of equipment brings its unique benefits, making workouts more dynamic and engaging.

My new toning balls have arrived so super excited to start planning sessions for next week ... 1kg each or 1.5 kg can be used in a variety of different ways ...
- roll up variation 1.5kg in both hands
- table top legs 2 balls ... 1kg to knees ..1 kg to ankles ..head shoulder lift - release down double tap toes down - pause - repeat
- side laying knees stacked ..1 kg mermaid stretch 1.5kg ball in between ankles then add in one clam - one stretch - repeat
-prone position 1kg each hand - one back ext press to balls - lower down - lift balls into swan dive and repeat

Walk -5 mins
Run - 10 mins
Walk - 3 mins
Run -10 mins
Walk - 5 mins cool down

Variations from the classical series to find hip release , leg strength and core control .
- scissors on mini ball
- bicycles / with reverse legs on mini ball
- scissors on mini ball challenge by taking away stability of arms
- bicycle with reverse cycles again with arms extended
- high scissors / advanced option
- high bicycles with reverse / advanced option

This is such an interesting read .....we as humans have evolved and this gives real thought to the power of the pelvic floor ...without the evolution of the change in the tail bone ...that was once stretched out and reaching to the back , had to be pulled and shortened in order to close off the new floor otherwise the weight of the inner organs ( that once laid on the abdominal wall ) would cause bowels to fall to the ground !!!!! and muscles were reinforced and connective tissue made thicker !!!! Amazing !!!!!!?

It has massively helped sticking to a program and how has now pushed me into thinking about a new program starting next week of mixed runs to enter a 5 k run .....🏃

Classes are always great but sometimes you have a proud Pilates mum moment when a progression comes together ...seamless ...with no gap ....the human body is amazing and this notion that only 20 year olds can have a strong youthful physique is old hat ....move over ...it's time for a different generation ❤️

Last week I started running again ...not far ...just aiming for 2 miles 2-3 x per week along side my teaching to replace the gym which I loved and will miss but I wasn't showing up and therefore paying and wasting monies ...every thing comes in cycles and I'm sure I'll go back to it but for now it's self home motivation so watch out for some simple easy home exercises ...all it takes is YOU !!!
