What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy involves a full assessment by the Veterinary Physiotherapist; checking joints, musculature, soft tissues and the neurological system. This assessment allows us to identify areas that may be painful, weak or compromised for various reasons. Once the assessment has been carried out then the most suitable treatments will be selected for treatment which may include:

Laser treatment
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Pulsed Magnetic therapy
Kinesiology taping
Massage
Stretching
Range of movement techniques
Exercise prescription

The goal of Physiotherapy is to provide a form of pain relief, maintain tissue health, help maintain or improve range of movement, build strength and keep your pet as fit as possible for as long as possible. The holistic approach can make a huge diffence on the quality of life and comfort of your pet.

If your pet is stiff, painful, has mobility issues, Lameness, arthritis, spinal issues or any skeletal or muscular issue then they’re a candidate for this treatment. At Healing Hands Animal Physiotherapy all treatments are carried out by a Masters level qualified Veterinary Physiotherapist with over 17 years experience in Veterinary Practice, so you know they’re in safe, experienced and qualified hands. Leanne is based inside Peterborough and Bretton Vets4Pets. You will not need to change your veterinary practice as all communication will be with your current vet.
please call us on 01733 890777 to discuss your pet and how Physiotherapy can help.

We just want to take a moment to wish Trish the best in her retirement 🌹 Trish has been taking phone calls, sorting appointments and helping us since 2018. In a lot of cases Trish has been the helping hand to provide that extra comfort for some of the animals when they felt unsure or scared, especially during Covid when we couldn’t have owners come into the sessions.

Some of the dogs tend to favour Trish because they also got a biscuit 🍪 🙈 Simple bribery! There has been a lot of love and care provided by Trish, Thank you and we hope you enjoy your well deserved retirement 🌺

Is your pet suffering with the colder weather? Maybe their mobility isn’t as good as it used to be? This is where we come in and we can help you and your beloved pet.

We have a range of treatments carried out by a masters qualified veterinary physiotherapist with 16 years experience working in the veterinary industry 🧑‍⚕️ Our initial Physiotherapy session will allow us to meet your furry family member, assess their muscular and skeletal system and then discuss how we can help. The initial session will also allow us to discuss your pets full medical history or any special requirements they may have clinically. This is very important to us 👊🏻 🐾
