It’s me again!
Much like the last times, the pictures are for reference to the place, not because I captured something in them, although the one that looks like I may be screaming was a foreshadowing.
These pictures are of my early days at the first cabin my family lived in at Fontana Dam.
The scenery was beautiful and my family had been faced with homelessness for years, this was exciting because we had stable, affordable housing, as I knew my work ethic would allow for me to keep my job and our housing secure.
I was in such bliss, that the dark signs didn’t show themselves until after the dust settled.
We weren’t the only ones living in that cabin.
The first signs came about a week later, when the exhaustion of moving finally wore off.
Now, I had never experienced anything like this in my life, and am unsure if I ever will again, but like clockwork, at 3 am, the room I was sleeping in would be full of orbs. I am not talking one or two, I am talking hundreds. They would float around the room much like you would see jellyfish floating through the sea. If you were asleep, you would be awakened by them, every single morning.
I was not the only one who saw them. My now ex-husband and my children also witnessed them. They were kind of beautiful and never felt threatening. It became a pastime of mine to wake up and watch them, until they lulled me back to sleep.
The orbs were a stark contrast to….whatever it was, that lived in the back of the house.
These cabins were once two units that had a door between them, so guests could rent one or both sides, which means we had two kitchenette and living areas, but the one in the back had a dark vibe to it. The one in the back had a fire start in it before we moved in, so they removed the kitchen area. We turned it into a nice living room, but could never bring ourselves to use it because every time you would be back there by yourself, you could hear someone talking to you, and if you stayed there long enough, it was like the voice changed from being spoken to you, to being whispered in your head.
The picture of me making a goofy face was me being excited on our first day in that cabin. This was me walking towards the back living room, the doorway that could be used to split the cabins behind me.
This was the darkest area of the house, and days after this photo was taken, you couldn’t leave this area without something warning you to RUN.
Within a couple days of moving in a dark spot appeared in the ceiling of this hallway, that they couldnt figure out what it was. The maintenance guy raidioed to tell his boss “the spot is back”. I inquired how they got rid of the mold last time, and the maintenance guys said “we don’know what that is, but it isn’t mold.”
It wasn’t long after we moved into this cabin, that we were upgraded to the slightly larger cabin next door to us.
I missed my orbs, but I didn’t miss the darkness in the back.
