Last week at Highgrove, residents enjoyed a fun and lively week taking part in games such as the letter game and Connect Four 🎲 We celebrated Wildlife Day with a themed game of bingo where Ann and Jo were our lucky winners 🐾 We were also delighted to welcome Brighter Days who popped in to bring some sunshine and smiles to the home 🌞 Residents enjoyed a visit from the hairdresser along with relaxing nail care sessions 💅 We got creative painting beautiful spring flowers for our window display 🌸 and had some friendly competition with a game of darts 🎯 The week also included a wonderful singalong and dance with Paul Michael 🎶 Residents baked some delicious chocolate orange cupcakes which were a real treat with tea time 🧁 We were also very happy to have visits from Doris and Orla for some lovely dog cuddles 🐕🐶 Finally, we said a fond farewell and wished the very best of luck to Jacob as he heads off on his new adventure 🌟

Last week at Denewood was full of creativity, fresh air, and lovely moments together 🌸 Residents enjoyed a variety of arts and crafts including making napkin paper flowers, painting paper plate flowers, creating cake case flowers, and crafting cheerful paper cup smiley sun faces 🌞 They also made paper plate baskets and adorable wool pom-pom chicks, which brought plenty of smiles 🐥 Alongside the crafting, residents enjoyed relaxing nail care and pampering sessions 💅 and spent some time out in the garden enjoying the fresh air 🌿 They had fun playing card games together ♠️ A big congratulations also went to Angela, who was proudly awarded Employee of the Month for her hard work and dedication 🌟👏

At Highgrove, residents joined in with Pet Day by playing animal bingo and enjoying a special visit from Bruno 🐾 They had fun playing animal snap and ring toss 🎯 and were entertained by Alan the Banjoman and Susan Old 🎤🎶 The residents enjoyed relaxing nail care sessions 💅 and got crafty painting beautiful spring flowers and baked delicious fruit scones 🍓 They took part in word searches to keep their minds active 🧩 and celebrated Kelly’s birthday with lots of smiles and cheer 🎂🥳

This week at Denewood, residents enjoyed celebrating Pet Day with Luna the puppy and Bruno visiting us 🐶🐾 They took part in pet quizzes, pet colouring, made fun pet balloons, and sang along to pet-themed songs 🎈🎶 We baked delicious cupcakes to enjoy together 🧁 and spent time reminiscing with the memory box 🧳 We played card bingo where Anne, Maureen and Sandra were our lucky winners 🎉 The residents also had relaxing nail care and pampering sessions 💅 and were treated to wonderful entertainment from Alan the Banjoman and Susan Old who sang beautifully for us 🎤🎵

Last week at Highgrove was full of celebrations, creativity, and plenty of fun! 🌟 We marked World Hippo Day by painting wonderful hippo pictures and spending time making puzzles together 🦛🎨🧩 For Shrove Tuesday, residents enjoyed a lively pancake flipping competition, a game of pancake bingo, and a joyful singalong with the lovely Gem Rose 🥞🎶🌹 a perfect mix of laughter and music. Midweek brought our popular Pamper Wednesday, with relaxing nail care and a visit from the hairdresser, leaving everyone feeling refreshed and fabulous 💅💇‍♀️ We also recognised the start of Ramadan by making beautiful lanterns 🏮✨, and celebrated Chinese New Year with themed bingo, creative horse crafts, and festive word searches 🐎🧧 In the kitchen, residents baked delicious blueberry and chocolate cupcakes, which were thoroughly enjoyed with afternoon tea 🧁☕ To keep active, we rounded off the week with a lively game of balloon tennis, bringing lots of smiles and friendly competition 🎈🎾

Last week at Denewood was full of fun, creativity, and lovely outings! 🥞✨ Residents enjoyed making delicious pancakes, which were a real treat for everyone 😋 We also got creative with colourful paper lantern making, brightening up the home with our beautiful designs 🏮🎨 Our Valentine’s Bingo was a big hit, with congratulations to Anne, Maureen, Susan, Elsie, Renee, Janet, and Becky for winning prizes! 🎉💖 A few residents enjoyed a wonderful trip to St Martin’s Church for a cheerful singalong, followed by tea and biscuits, which was such a lovely way to spend time in the community ⛪☕🍪 Back at the home, residents relaxed with nail care and pampering sessions, along with a visit from the hairdresser, leaving everyone feeling refreshed and fabulous 💅💇‍♀️ We also kept our minds active with crosswords and puzzles 🧩✏️ To top off the week, we were treated to fantastic performances from Jem Rose and Nick Sellars, filling Denewood with music, smiles, and plenty of singing along 🎤🎶

Love was truly in the air across both Denewood and Highgrove this Valentine’s Day! 💕✨ Residents at both homes embraced the spirit of the day with beautiful Valentine’s crafts and decorations to spread a little extra love around the home 💌🎨. There were plenty of fun activities too; from games and quizzes to music and singalongs that brought smiles, laughter, and wonderful moments of togetherness 🎶😊 The highlight of the day at both homes was a special Valentine’s Day meal, where residents enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared with care 🍽️❤️ Tables were beautifully set, sweet treats were shared, and everyone enjoyed celebrating friendship, companionship, and happy memories together.

Over at Highgrove, our residents have been getting into the Valentine’s spirit by creating lovely Valentine pictures and decorations, and enjoying plenty of fun with chocolate-themed bingo 🍫

We were delighted to welcome Simon from Brighterdays, who amazed everyone with his fantastic balloon figures and creative designs—so many smiles all round 🎈

Pampering was firmly on the agenda as our wonderful hairdresser Teresa visited to give our ladies and gents fresh new hairdos. The session was topped off with colourful nail care and varnishes, leaving everyone feeling relaxed and fabulous 💅✨

We also celebrated World Nutella Day in the best possible way—by baking delicious chocolate brownies and enjoying them together at afternoon teatime (a definite hit!).

And finally, we marked a very special occasion as our team leader Kirsty celebrated her birthday 🎉 We all joined in with the celebrations and shared a large, delicious birthday cake to make the day extra special 🎂

Our residents have been busy enjoying a wonderful mix of creativity, games, and sweet treats. We loved getting crafty making paper love hearts ready for Valentine’s Day, and there was plenty of laughter during our chocolate-themed bingo 🍫

In our baking sessions, we whipped up classic jam tarts and indulged in a rich chocolate fountain—smothering fresh fruit in deliciously smooth, milky chocolate (pure joy!).

Rainy afternoons were made brighter with crossword puzzles, a cheerful singalong with Paul Michael performing some well-known tunes 🎶, and lots of friendly competition with a new card game, plus old favourites like Snap and Connect 4.

We were also treated to some balloon-making fun when Simon from Brighterdays popped in 🎈, and despite the weather, a few of our ladies wrapped up warm and ventured out to the local church to enjoy tea, biscuits, and a lovely catch-up with friends in the community ☕💬

Last week at Highgrove was filled with love, laughter, and lively entertainment! ❤️🎶 Residents got creative by making Valentine’s love hearts, adding a festive touch of romance and colour around the home 💌🎨 They also enjoyed some fun and brain-teasing activities like Spot the Difference, word searches, and a few rounds of ring toss, keeping minds sharp and spirits high 🧠🎯 Everyone enjoyed a little midweek pampering with relaxing nail care 💅, adding a touch of sparkle and self-care. We were also treated to fantastic musical visits from Susan Old, Steve Linn, and Mike Sideway, who brought joy, song, and dancing to the home. Residents sang along, tapped their toes, and even got up for a dance or two 💃🎤—a perfect end to a heartwarming week at Highgrove.

Last week at Denewood was full of colour, creativity, and cheerful moments! 🌸🎶 Residents enjoyed painting beautiful flower pictures, getting artistic and brightening up the home with their lovely work 🎨🌼 They also had fun with Spot the Difference puzzles and How Many Words games, keeping minds active and engaged 🧠✏️ We kept the energy up with some lively games, including balloon tennis, the Velcro ball game, and the chocolate cup game—all bringing plenty of laughs and friendly competition 🎈🎯🍫 A round of card bingo was a highlight, with congratulations going to Anne, Connie, Joyce, and Michael for their lucky wins! 🎉🃏 Residents enjoyed a relaxing pamper day with nail care, and our hairdresser also visited, making sure everyone looked and felt their best 💅💇‍♀️ Music filled the air during our fun karaoke singalong, and we were treated to a lovely live performance from Susan Old, who brought smiles and sweet melodies to everyone 🎤🎵

Last week at Highgrove was full of fun, laughter, and heartfelt moments! 🎉❤️ We kicked things off by celebrating Jerry’s birthday 🎂🥳, marking the occasion with smiles, cake, and lots of good cheer. Residents enjoyed a variety of games including Connect Four, Roll and Count, Snakes and Ladders, and of course, the ever-popular Balloon Tennis—keeping everyone engaged and active 🎲🎈 Creativity was in the air as we got crafting, making lovely love heart chains and beautiful Valentine’s-themed pictures 🎨❤️ The week was filled with music thanks to the wonderful Gem Rose, who led us in joyful singing sessions that had everyone joining in 🎶😊 We had some extra-special visitors—Mia and Bruno, our furry friends—who brought endless cuddles and comfort to residents 🐕💖 To stay moving, we joined in with some energising armchair exercises 🏋‍♀️, then rewarded our efforts by baking and enjoying delicious blueberry muffins 🧁🫐 Residents also spent time with the “It’s a Man’s World” memory box, sparking meaningful conversations and cherished memories 🧳🕰️ We wrapped up the week with relaxing nail care, giving everyone a little well-deserved pampering 💅✨
