Meet another one of our Strictly participants...
Tim Kenney is a familiar face in Chester as co-founder of kenneymoore, one of Chester’s leading independent commercial property consultants, and while Tim has a well-deserved reputation for ‘straight talking’, and finding solutions for clients property challenges, he is also known for championing Chester and its communities.
He has held a number of varied roles for the business community including a founder director of Chester BID and the founder chair of Chester Great and Small CIC.
He was Chester Santa Dash’s lead safety Marshall for 13 years, and started the rather bonkers Farndon Soapbox Derby both of which raise funds for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
Tim said "In the latest of a long line of doing daft things for charity I bring you the opportunity to support me in The Hospice Strictly Come Dancing Competition! I fully expect be towards the upper end of the age profile of the competition - but that didn’t stop Bill Bailey - and it won’t stop me! So whilst I’m making a complete (and I suspect rather public) ‘show’ of myself in an effort to entertain and raise as much money as I can - the least you can do is to support this OAP in his challenge!!"
"Hopefully everyone appreciates what the Hospice movement does for their local communities. We are so fortunate to have The Hospice Of the Good Shepherd looking after us in Chester - it provides its services free of charge to its patients but at a cost of £5.6 million to run each year with just 17% of the funding received coming from statutory sources. The remaining 83% is raised from a range of fundraising activities and the support of the generous local community."
