We’re absolutely loving the new Christmas ad from EE !

One of the most heartwarming moments? When the little boy steps forward and signs “Merry Christmas” to the young girl who is hard of hearing.

This beautiful gesture wasn’t just for show—it was crafted with care in collaboration with a deaf BSL consultant and advisor, making it a truly inclusive and meaningful story. 👏

Representation matters, and this ad is a wonderful reminder of the power of thoughtful storytelling. 💬✨

Well done to Coral Pithers, who organised and set up a raffle that raised nearly £100 for Esme’s Umbrella, supporting awareness of Charles Bonnet Syndrome (CBS).

CBS is a condition that causes visual hallucinations in people who have lost a significant amount of their sight. These hallucinations can range from simple patterns to complex images of people or animals. Importantly, CBS is not a sign of dementia or mental illness - it’s the brain’s way of “filling in the gaps” when visual input is missing.

There’s still a lot of stigma and misunderstanding around CBS, so raising awareness is vital.

Earlier in the week, we were also delighted to welcome Judith Potts, founder of Esme’s Umbrella, who shared her insights and passion for supporting those affected.

💙 Well done Coral for making the step to make a difference and to the whole team for bringing in the raffle prizes!
