As part of Dr Corbyn's continued community-supporting efforts, we have recently reached out to Christine Kipling from Deliverance asking how we may support her and her team's extraordinary work.

Deliverance is a small animal rescue that works tirelessly to help animals in need, ultimately ensuring that they all find loving forever homes. From nursing orphaned kittens back to life, to caring for injured dogs and reuniting missing animals with their owners, the team at Deliverance goes above and beyond to make the world a better place for all animals.

Dr Corbyn is delighted to have recently contributed a significant amount of essential supplies to Deliverance, including kitten milk, cat food, litter, blankets and other supplies intended to help Christine and her team care for all animals they rescue.

Going forward, we will continue to actively donate supplies to Deliverance so that they continue to assist animals in the best possible way.

Deliverance is now also part of the list of charitable organisations, which means that we will also donate 2% of the value of all eligible orders placed on our website to their work. The donations will go towards funding veterinary care for the animals rescued by their team. Eligible orders are those where Deliverance is selected to receive a donation during the checkout process.

The donations are supported entirely by Dr Corbyn at no cost to our customers.

We are very grateful for the Deliverance team's efforts and we are pleased to be welcomed amongst the lovely little group of 'Deliveroos' following and supporting their work. ❤

In response to the Government’s advice on vitamin D supplementation, and recognising the health risks associated with uncertain living conditions and food insecurity, Dr Corbyn launched the initiative in 2022.

As part of this initiative, we have been working to make vitamin D supplementation accessible to everyone and to support the well-being and nutritional needs of the UK’s most vulnerable communities. In 2022, we donated over 1,000 packs of our Vitamin D 1,000 IU Tablets to a charity in the North East of England. The packs were distributed to those affected by homelessness and poverty as part of the organisation’s continued outreach work.

Despite challenges that have, at times, directly impacted our team during 2023, it gives us great pleasure to announce that we have successfully met our objective to continue directing vitamin D supplies to the vulnerable communities in the North East of England. The supplies were donated to Changing Lives in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and distributed as part of the charity’s regular outreach work in the local community.

We would like to thank Changing Lives for helping us support the well-being of vulnerable people in the community.

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Dr Corbyn has become an official supporting member of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network. 🌻

As part of Dr Corbyn’s continued efforts to positively impact the society and drive positive change, we are proactively looking for ways to encourage inclusivity, acceptance and understanding, and to support the needs of the vulnerable members of our society.

By joining the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network, we want to raise awareness about the daily barriers faced by people living with an invisible disability and to help create a more inclusive, accepting and compassionate environment for everyone.

We want to ensure that people living with an invisible disability feel comfortable and that they receive the extra support they need — without the social stigma or shame.

As a member of the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower network, Dr Corbyn now requires that all our colleagues complete an essential Sunflower training course that introduces hidden disability awareness and equips them with the knowledge, resources and skills to provide support to customers with a hidden disability.

After successfully completing the course, Dr Corbyn colleagues receive their Sunflower Training Certificate and get promoted to ‘Sunflower Champion’ status. Sunflower Champions are provided with ‘Support the Sunflower’ lanyards, pin badges and wearables so that customers with a hidden disability can feel more comfortable in the knowledge that they will receive the extra support they need.

Additional disability-specific training is provided to all Dr Corbyn colleagues, including access to educational materials, to help them feel well prepared and confident when assisting customers with a hidden disability.

In the near future, Dr Corbyn will continue to adopt the Sunflower across a wider range of internal and external company operations and policies, and to implement more strategies aimed at making the invisible visible, promoting inclusivity, and providing compassionate support to people living with a hidden disability.
