Teen Challenge UK Teen Challenge UK operates nationally to help those with life controlling problems.

Teen Challenge UK is a registered charity and operates nationally to help individuals who have developed life controlling problems, especially drug and alcohol addictions, and also to offer preventative help to those who may be in danger of doing so. Teen Challenge UK started in the Sixties and now works in fifteen locations in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Teen Challenge London and Teen Challenge Strathclyde grew out of Teen Challenge UK and are now affiliated works. The goal of Teen Challenge UK is to help people become mentally sound, physically well, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted & spiritually alive. Teen Challenge is built on and driven by Christian values and beliefs, which clearly show how precious and loved each individual is. We take this message to young people whose lives are messed up, who have lost all sense of self worth, self esteem and often the will to live. Everybody deserves the opportunity to live free and to become everything they were created to be.

Charlene will be graduating from Hope House as well as the Teen Challenge Leadership Academy on September 13th. Today marks the end of her being under the probation service and we celebrate with her stepping into a new season working for Teen Challenge UK, Willoughby House on reception.

We are launching a new outreach in Aberdeen city centre to connect with men and women struggling in addition.

Starting next Tuesday, July 22nd, our team will be in position at St Nicholas Street from 1pm-3pm, putting hope within reach of hurting folks and their families.

Our staff will connect, chat and give info and inspiration on the opportunities available for people to turn their lives around at Sunnybrae and Benaiah.

Going forward, the outreach will be held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month.

We’re very much excited and expectant!

We have been delighted to welcome Samantha White – Director of Development for Global Teen Challenge – and her husband Mike to Sunnybrae and Benaiah these past two days.

They are spending time this week connecting with staff and residents at Teen Challenge UK centres across the country, with our Chief Executive Phil Hills.

Mike, who completed the Teen Challenge programme in the USA 15 years ago, inspired residents at both our centres with his story of having his life radically transformed from the depths of addition to freedom.

We are excited to announce the appointments of new Centre Managers at both Sunnybrae and Benaiah.

Ashley Runcie has taken up the position at our women’s centre, Benaiah, while Paul Beaton has been appointed to the role at our men’s centre, Sunnybrae.

Both are internal promotions, with Ashley and Paul each having been part of the Teen Challenge North East Scotland team for more than 10 years.

The appointments have been made following the resignation of former Area Manager, Gordon Cruden, who we again sincerely thank for all his hard work in helping many people rebuild their lives.

Ashley and Paul are passionate about the work of Teen Challenge, with both of them driven to see men and women find freedom from addiction, with families restored and futures transformed.
