✨ Why Laser Doesn’t Work on Red Hair

We’re often asked if laser hair removal works on red hair. The short answer is NO, and here’s why.

Laser targets the melanin in your hair. Darker hairs have more melanin, which absorbs the laser energy and carries it to the root to reduce growth. Red hair contains a different type of pigment called pheomelanin which doesn’t respond in the same way. That means laser simply won’t be effective.

Beware of any clinic or salon offering laser treatment for red, white, grey or blonde hair. It cannot work and would be simply wasting money.
